_' <br />,,. <br />. <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 9 0 -119 <br />gY; THE ENTIRE COUNCIL <br />AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE SUBMISSION TO THE ELEC- <br />TORS OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, OHIO OF AN AMENDMENT <br />TO ARTICLE IV, SECTION 7(B) OF THE CHARTER PROVIDING <br />FOR THE PROCEDURE FOR AMENDING THE AGENDA OF SPECIAL <br />COUNCIL MEETINGS AS RECOMMENDED BY THE CHARTER REVIEW <br />COMMITTEE, AND DECLARING AN IIMEERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Charter Review Commission of the City of North Olmsted, <br />appointed pursuant to Article XIV of the Charter of the City of North <br />0lmsted, has filed its report of recommended amendments to the Charter with <br />this Council, and <br />WHEREAS, this Council deems it appropriate to submit the within pro- <br />posal to the electors for their consideration at the General Election to be <br />held within the City on November 6, 1990. <br />W, THEREFORE, ORDAINED <br />OHIO,UTWO-'THIRDSEOFI ALL FMII"ffNORTH <br />3ERS <br />OLMSTED, <br />CONCURRING: <br />SECTION 1: That this Council hereby authorizes and directs the sub- <br />mission to the electors of the Citp of North Olmsted at the General Elec- <br />tion to be held at the usual places of voting in said City on Tuesdap, <br />November 6, 1990, the following separate proposal to amend the Charter of <br />the City of North Olmsted: <br />Proposal: That Article IV Section 7(b) of the Charter relating to the <br />fixing of topics to be considered at Special Meetings be amended to provide <br />that once a special meeting is called in accordance with Article IV Section <br />7(b) and the items to be considered are fixed that additional items may be <br />considered at said meeting upon the concurrence of any three members of <br />Council after proper notice is given. Such proposed Amended Section 7(b) <br />of Article IV shall read as follows: <br />Article IV <br />The Council <br />SECTION (b). SPECIAL MEETINGS. <br />Special Meetings of Council may be called in accordance with <br />the rules and regulations or by-laws adopted bp Council. In the <br />absence of any provision therein, special meetings may be called <br />by a vote of the Council taken at any regular or special meeting <br />thereof, or may be called by the Clerk of Council upon the written <br />request of the Mayor or President of Council, or any three members <br />of Council.
