_ • : ? ,,? ? ? <br />• place and date thereof and the subject or subjects to be considered <br />and not other subject or subjects shall be considered unless at <br />least three members of Council request that certain additional <br />items be considered and at least twenty-four (24) hours advance <br />notice of the request to consider such additional items is given <br />to the Mayor and each member of Council in the manner hereinafter <br />provided. Notice of a special meeting called at the request of <br />Mayor, President of Council or any three members thereof, shall be <br />given in writing to each member of Council and the Mayor by serv- <br />ing on each of them personally or by leaving a copy thereof at his <br />usual place of residence, not less than twenty-four (24) hours <br />preceding the date and hour of such meeting. Service of this <br />notice may be waived in writing. <br />SECTION 2: That if such amendment is approved by a majority of the <br />electars voting thereon at such election, it shall become effective from <br />and after the time of its approval by the electors. <br />SECTION 3: That the Clerk of Council is hereby authorized and direct- <br />ed to cause a copy of the proposed Charter Amendment to be published in <br />such manner as may be authorized by law. <br />SECTION 4: That the Clerk of this Council be and she is hereby au- <br />thorized and directed to forward a certified copy of this Ordinance to the <br />Board of Election of Cuyahoga County. <br />SECTION 5: That the Board of Elections is hereby requested to cause <br />appropriate notice of such election to be duly given in accordance with <br />law. <br />SECTION 6: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, <br />safety and welfare, and for the further reason that it is immediately <br />necessarq to enact this legislation so that this issue may be submitted to <br />the electors in time for the November 6, 1990 General Election, and fur- <br />ther, provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all mem- <br />bers elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately <br />upon its passage and approval bp the Mayor. <br />Passed : o9U ?v»-?_ ?• ? <br />?
