PREAMBLE <br />ARTICLE I <br />Section 1. -This Agreement is hereby entered into by and <br />between the City of North Olmsted, hereinafter referred to as <br />"the Employer", and the Northern Ohio Patrolmen's Benevoient <br />Association, hereinafter referred to as "the NOPBA". <br />PURPOSE AND INTENT <br />ARTICLE II <br />Section 1. In an effort to continue harmonious and coopera- <br />tive relationships with its employees and to insure its orderly <br />and uninterrupted efficient operations, the E?nployer now desires <br />to enter into an agreement reached through collective bargaining <br />which will have for its purposes, among others, the following: <br />1) To recognize the legitimate interests of the employees of the <br />Employer to participate through collective bargaining in the <br />determination of the terms and conditions of their employment; 2) <br />To promote fair and reasonable working conditions; 3) To promote <br />individual efficiency and service to City of North Olmsted; 4) To <br />avoid interruption or interference with the efficient operation <br />of the Employer's business; and 5) To provide a basis for the <br />adjustment of matters of mutual interest by means of amicable <br />discussion. <br />RECOGNITION <br />ARTICLE III <br />Section 1. The Employer agrees that it has and will con- <br />tinue to recognize the NOPBA as exclusive representative for <br />neqotiating waqes and salaries, hours of work, and all other <br />terms and conditions of employment for all full-time Dispatchers <br />on the North Olmsted Police Department. The Employer and the <br />NOPBA agree to continue to negotiate with each other in good <br />faith on all matters concerning the employment of said employees. <br />Section 2. The Employer will furnish the NOPBA with a list <br />of all employees in the classifications covered by this Agreement <br />indicating their starting date of emp'Loyment. Such list will be <br />furnished no less than annually and will be supplemented by the <br />names of all new employees as hired.
