• ? . . <br />22 ' . <br />(b) Lots With SO Feet or Less Frontage on an Existing Street. In the <br />event the application for a building permit as required under the <br />provisions of the Dwelling or appurtenant structure on a lot having <br />fifty feet or less frontage on an existing street, such application <br />shall, in addition to the provisions of subsection (a) hereof be <br />referred to the Board of Building Code Appeals who shall, in <br />addition to ruling on any protest that may be filed with it, first <br />determine prior to the approval of the application for a permit <br />for such premises,that the proposed construction or alteration <br />does not affect drainage of surface water or waste unto injurious <br />to the public safety, health or welfare. (Ord.2806. Passed 2/3/59) <br />(c) Exposed Exterior Masonry Walls. Exposed exterior walls of masonry <br />construction above grade shall be faced with brick, stone or other <br />material hereafter approved by the Board of Building Code Appeais. <br />(Ord. 62-173. (Passed 10/16/62). <br />(d) Chimneys, Flues and Vents. <br />(1) All chimneys, flues and gas vents, that are exterior of the <br />structure or that terminate above the roof line shall be <br />enclosed in a corrosion resistant material that simulates a <br />conventional masonry chimney. <br />(2) In lieu of above, an enclosure compatible with exterior <br />architectural elements of the structure shall enclose the <br />metal chimney, flue or gas vent. <br />(3) Definitions of a chimney, flue or gas vent are as follows: <br />A. "Chimney" means a primarily vertical masonry or <br />reinforced concrete shaft which encloses one or more <br />flues. <br />B. "Gas Vents" means a flue for removing products of <br />combustion from gas heat appliances. <br />C. "Flue" means a passageway, vertical or nearly so for <br />conveying gaseous products of combustion to the outer air. <br />(Ord. 82-44. Passed 5/14/82) <br />l.. :
