R-704_2 Allowable Loads for Particleboard Roof Sheathing <br />Delete the first line, 3/8" thickness, in table, No. R-704.2 <br />SECTION R-803 - ASPHALT OR FIBERGLASS SHINGLES (AMENDED) <br />R-803.1 General: Asphalt or fiberglass shingles shall be applied only to <br />solidly sheathed roofs. Asphalt or fiberglass shingles shall be applied <br />according to manufacturer's printed instructions and this code. <br />R-803-2 Slopes of 4 inches in 12 inches or greater: Asphalt or fiberglass <br />shingle roofs shall have an underlayment of not less than one ply of No. 15 <br />felt, applied as required in Section R-802. <br />R-803.3 Slopes less than 4 inches in 12 inches but not less than 2 inches in <br />12 inches: Nominally double-coverage asphalt shingles may be installed on <br />slopes as low as 2 inches in 12 inches, provided the sfiingles are approved <br />self-sealing shingles or are hand sealed and are installed with an <br />underlayment consisting of two layers of No. 15 feit, applied as required in <br />Section R-802. In areas where the January average daily temperature is 25 <br />degrees F. or less, or where there is a possibility of ice forming along the <br />eaves and causing a backup of water, the two layers of felt shall be cemented <br />together in addition to the required nailing, from the eaves up the roof to <br />overlie a point 24 inches inside the interior wall line of the building. <br />Asphalt or fiberglass shingles shall not be used on roofs with slopes <br />less than 2 inches in 12 inches. <br />_R-803.4 FASTENERS: Asphalt or fiberglass shingles shall be fastened according <br />to manufacturer's printed instructions and Table No. R-801-2. <br />Nails for fastening asphalt shingles shall be not smaller than No. 12 <br />gauge, with heads not less than 3/8 inch in diameter. <br />R-803.9 - ASPHALT OR FIBERGLASS SHINGLES shall be a minimum 20 year warranty <br />and Class C rating. <br />M-1601.1 (8) All duct installations shall be installed in conformity to <br />SNACNA standards. <br />M-1602.4 Turning vanes shall be installed in ducts going to electronic air <br />cleaners. <br />PART V- PLUMBING Delete page 179 through 246 inclusive. <br />Appendix B- Delete Tables No. 6/7A - Design values for joists and rafters - •f='__ <br />Visual grading, page 328 to page 343 inclusive and table No. 6/7B - Design <br />values for joists and rafters - Machine stress rated, page 344, CABO ONE AND <br />TWO FAMILY DWELLING CODE, 1989 Edition. _ <br />,_
