?_.....,. --..__?..?....,....___ __ _ ._,,..?..,..?.?,.., ..?...K,...?........ _. w..`.?., CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE NO. 92- 151 BY: MAYOR BOYLE AN ORDINANCE CREATING, WITHIN THE MAYOR'S OFFICE, A DIVISION OF ELECTRONIC DATA PROCESSING, AT CHAPTER 175 OF THE ADMINISTRATIVE CODE; CREATING THE POSITIONS OF COMMISSIONER OF ELECTRONIC DATA PROCESSING AND ELECTRONIC DATA PROCESSING SPECIALIST; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. VVfIEREAS, as a result of the technological explosion in the field of electronic data processing, the various departments and divisions of the City Administration have independent of one another attempted to meet the computer needs of their departments and divisions; and WHEREAS, the individual efforts by the various directors and commissioners have created the potential for duplication of efforts and expenses, as well as problems involving the coordinated transfer of records and information within and among the various departments and divisions so as to promote effective communication and unified information processing, sharing and retention; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to create a Division of Electronic Data Processing in the Office of the Mayor to address these concerns and to coordinate the electronic data processing of the city's records and information on a unified basis; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCII. OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That there be, and hereby is, created Chapter 175 of the Administrative Code of the City of North Olmsted which sha11, as created, read as follows: CHAPTER 175 Department of Electronic Data Processing 175.01 ESTABLISHMENT. There is hereby established a Division of Electronic Data Processing within the Office of the Mayor, which sha11 be known as the "Division of Electronic Data Processing of the City of North Olmsted."
