<br /> <br />Page 2 of 3 <br />Ordinance No. 92-151. <br />? <br /> <br />175.02 COMMISSIONER. <br />The Division of Electronic Data Processing shall be headed by a Commissioner who sha11 <br />be appointed by the Mayor and who shall be answerable to the Mayor. <br />175.03 SALARIES. <br />The salary ranges for the Commissioner of the Division of Electronic Data Processing, <br />as well as other employees within this Division, shall be determined by Council. The specific <br />salary for the Commissioner shall be determined by the Mayor and the specific salaries for the <br />employees within the Division shall be determined by the Commissioner. <br />175.04 POWERS AND DUTIES. <br />The Division of Electronic Data Processing shall have the following responsibilities: <br />(a) The Division shall review the electronic data processing <br />needs of each department and division within the City, and the <br />overall needs of the City itself to have coordinated and unified <br />processing, sharing, and retention of records and information; <br />(b) The Division shall, after first communicating with the <br />Department and Division heads, assess and determine the <br />electronic data processing requirements for each department and <br />division within the City, and insure; <br />(c) The Division shall approve, or disapprove, a11 <br />electronic data processing purchase requests, hardware and <br />software, of each department and division in the City; provided, <br />however, that the Commissioner sha11 first consult with the Mayor <br />and obtain the Mayor's consent, prior to approving or <br />disapproving any such request; <br />(d) The Division sha11 insure that the electronic data <br />processing equipment of each department and division of the City <br />is compatible with that being used by the other departments and <br />divisions within the City, and that the purchases being made are <br />consistent with the goal of achieving coordinated and unified <br />processing, sharing and retention of records and information; <br />(e) The Division shall perform such additional in-house <br />duties relating to electronic data processing within the City <br />government as may be assigned by the Mayor.
