(1) in the Service Garage Lunchroom; One (1) in the Systems <br />... <br />Office; and One (1) in the Service Department Lunchroom, for <br />notices of Union Business, including notices of Union meetings, <br />elections and other union related matters. All notices or other <br />material posted must be signed and dated by a Union Officer or <br />Steward. Upon request by the City, the Union shall remove any <br />postinq that is inflammatory or critfcal of the City, City <br />Officials or of any other employees or persons, or which are <br />political (partisan) in nature. <br />ARTICLE 6: UNION REPRESENTATION <br />Section 1: Employees selected by the Union to act as Union <br />representatives for the purpose of processinq grievances under <br />the Grievance Procedure shall be known as Stewards. The City <br />will recognize a Chief Steward, and it will recognize one steward <br />and one alternate from each of the following: (1) Waste Water <br />Department; (2) Mechanics; (3) Service Department; (4) Waste <br />Water Department - Systems. The steward shall represent <br />employees on all three shifts. The alternate steward shall be <br />recognizecl when the regular steward is absent or otherwise not <br />available. <br />Section 2: Employees who participate in meetings under Step <br />1 of the Grievance Procedure, during their scheduled working <br />time, or other meetings scheduled by the City under the Grievance <br />Procedure, during their scheduled workinq time, will be paid for <br />time actually lost from their scheduled work time for the purpose <br />; of participating in such meetings.
