<br />In the event the employee has notified his supervisor of the <br />unsafe condition, the employee shall not be required to perform <br />the work until it has been determined to be safe. However, the <br />employee may be assigned to alternative duties until such time as <br />an investigation is completed. <br />Section 3: The City will provide and maintain safe vehicles <br />for all employees required to use vehicles for their assigned <br />duties. The vehicle status, whether safe or unsafe, will be <br />determined by the Service Director or his designee. <br />Section 4: Employees shall be required to keep the interior <br />of vehicles clean and clear of objects such as tools, lunch <br />wrappers, cans, and bottles. Debris such as lunch wrappers, cans <br />and bottles shall be removed and properly disposed of by the end <br />of each shift. <br />Section 5: Employees involved in an accident involving a <br />City vehicle, equipment or other property shall notify their <br />supervisor as soon as possible. The employee shall complete a <br />police report and all other report: forms required by the <br />employer. <br />ARTICLE 28: DISABLED EMPLOYEL <br />Section 1: The City and the Union shall attempt through <br />agreement to place partially disabled employees on light-work <br />jobs which are available or become available during the term of <br />their disability, and which they are qualified to perform. <br />37
