- through B-14, and the City will not recognize any other Union, <br />organization or person as the representative for any employees <br />within such classifications. Nothinq herein shall prevent <br />individual employees from discussinq terms and conditions of <br />employment now covered by this Agreement with the City, however, <br />such communication shall not be used to undermine the position of <br />the Union as the representative of the employees. <br />ARTICLE 3: NON-DISCRIMINATION <br />Section 1: Both the City and the Union recognize their <br />respective responsibilities under the federal and state civil <br />rights laws, fair employment practice acts and other similar <br />constitutional and statutory requfrements. Therafore, both the <br />City and the Union hereby reaffirm their commitments, legal and <br />? <br />moral, not to discriminate in any manner relatinq to employment <br />on the basis or race, color, creed, national origin, sex, age, <br />handicap/disability or any other invidious reason. <br />Section 2: The City recognizes the right of all employees <br />and applicants for employment to be free to join the IInion and <br />participate in lawful, concerted Union activities. Therefore, <br />the City agrees that there shall be no discrimination, <br />interference, restraint, coercion, or reprisal by the City <br />against any employee or any applicant for employment because of <br />Union membership or because of any lawful activity in an official <br />capacity on behalf of the Union.
