BOYLE <br />? <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A PROGRAM WITHIN THB <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, CITY OF OLMSTED FALLS, <br />AND OLMSTED TOWNSHIP FOR THE 70INT OPERATION <br />OF A PASSENGER BUS TO SERVICE THE ELDERLY AND <br />HANDICAPPED FROM SAID CONiMUrTITIES AND THE <br />ACQUISITION OF SAME THROUGH A GRANT OBTAINED <br />FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION, <br />STATE OF OHIO, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted has an opportunity to obtain funding through <br />the Ohio Department of Transportation to secure two "conversion van" vehicles to provide <br />transportation services to the elderly and/or handicapped; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted is desirous of entering into a cooperative <br />arrangement with the City of Olmsted Falls and Olmsted Township to obtain and provide for <br />the use of such vehicles in all three of the aforementioned communities; and <br />WHEREAS, in order to participate with the City of Olmsted Falls and Olmsted <br />Township in this cooperative arrangement, the City of North Olmsted must contribute the <br />"matching funds" necessary in order to obtain the funding grant through the Ohio department <br />of Transportation; and <br />WHEREAS, the required cash match from the aforesaid communities is Six Thousand <br />Five Hundred Dollars ($6500.00), per van, which is twenty percent (20%) of the cost of the <br />aforementioned vehicles; and <br />WHEREAS, each of the aforesaid communities is responsible for its prorated share of <br />the aforesaid Six Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($6500.00) per year per vehicle for two <br />years based on each community's population as a relative percentage of the total service area <br />population; and <br />WHEREAS, based on the aforementioned formula, the share of the aforesaid Six <br />Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($6500.00) to be paid by the City of North Olmsted is sixty- <br />eight and nine tenths percent (68.9 %); and by the City of Olmsted Falls is ten percent <br />(10%); and by Olmsted Township is twenty-one and one tenth percent (21.1 °lo); and
