e <br />Ordinance No. 92-58 <br />Page 2 <br />(1) Side yard areas. One vehicle may be parked or stored in <br />the side yard area but not in the side yard area of a corner <br />lot which abuts a street); provided, however, that if the side <br />yard area faces a house which has a first floor window opening <br />to a habitable room, then the vehicle may be parked or stored <br />in the side yard area only if the distance froqn where the <br />vehicle is to be parked or stored to the said house is greater <br />than the length of the vehicle; <br />(2) Rear yard areas. Vehicles ma.y be parked or stored in the <br />rear yard area, provided, however, that a distance no less than <br />five feet to the side lot line and ten feet to the rear lot line <br />shall be maintained between the lot line and the vehicle; and <br />further provided, however, that the combined square footage of <br />the vehicles and all other accessory structures in the rear yard <br />area shall not exceed the limitation provided for in Section 1135.02 <br />(d)(2) above; and further provided, however, with respect to corner <br />lots anly, that the vehicles sha.ll not be parked or stored in the <br />setback area for the side of the house which faces the street; <br />(3) Front yard areas. Vehicles may rDt be parked or stored in <br />the front yard area, except one vehicle upon a driveway and <br />then only for a period of time which does not exceed seventy-two <br />(72) hours within an consecutive twenty-one (21) day period. <br />No recreational vehicle parked or stored an any lot shall be <br />occupied or have wired cormections to electricity (except a <br />trickle charger), water, gas or sewer facilities. F.irther, <br />no storage shall be permitted in or under any recreational <br />vehicle parked or stored an any lot. All recreational vehicles <br />parked or stored on any lot shall be kept in good repair and <br />sha.ll carry the current year's license piate registered to the <br />legal occupant. <br />Notwithstanding any other provision of Section 1135.02 (h), <br />all legally nonconforming storage of recreational vehicles <br />in the rear yard or side yard shall be removed from the <br />property by no later than Ma.y 1, 1999. Further, any rear <br />or side yard storage an an existing improved driveway is <br />permitted provided access to the required minimLn of one <br />garaged parking space is not obstructed. <br />SECTION 2: That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby directed <br />to cause notice of a Public Hearing to be given pursuant to the provisions of <br />Section 14 of Article IV of the Charter of the City.
