A <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />Ordinance No. 92 - 14 <br />"911.19 DISCONNECTION OF DOWNSPOUTS TO SANITARY SEWERS. <br />(a) The City Engineer and/or the Building Commissioner is hereby <br />authorized to grant permission to the owner of property having <br />roof downspouts connected to the sanitary sewer system to <br />disconnect such downspouts and permit splash down of roof water <br />directly upon the ground, for a period not to exceed thirty <br />calendar days from the authorized date of disconnection. <br />(b) At the end of the authorized thirty-day period, the City <br />Engineer and/or the Building Commissioner shall inspect, or cause <br />to be inspected, the property granted permission to disconnect and <br />splash down to determine and verify that the downspouts have been <br />connected to the storm sewer as required by Section 911.12. <br />(c) In the event that inspection indicates that certain downspouts <br />have not been correctly connected to the storm sewer, and after the <br />expiration of thirty-day authorized disconnection and splash down <br />period, the names of the owners then in violation of Section 911.12 <br />shall be forwarded to the City Prosecutor for appropriate action." <br />BE AND 7HE SAME IS HIItEBY AMENDID AND AS AMIINDED SHALL READ AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br />"911.19 DISCONNECTION OF DOWNSPOUTS, OR YARD DRAINS TO SANITARY <br />SEWERS. <br />(a) The City Engineer and/or the Building Commissioner is hereby <br />authorized to grant permission to the owner of property having roof <br />downspouts connected to the sanitary sewer system to disconnect <br />such downspouts, and permit splashdown of roof water directly upon <br />the ground, or to require that such downspouts, yard drains or <br />similar drains be connected to a storm sewer or to a natural outlet <br />approved by the City Engineer. <br />By: <br />. <br />GEORGE NASHAR <br />JANET SARINGER <br />AN ORDINANCE TO AMIIND SECTION 911.19 OF TfiE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF <br />'IIHE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTID. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of North Olmsted, <br />Cuyahoga County, State of Ohio tha.t: <br />SECTION 1: Section 911.19 of the Codified Ordinances of the City <br />of North Olmsted, Ohio, which now reads as follows:
