. ?......?..,y? <br />? <br />Building improvements include the following: <br />(1) Handicapped-accessible entrance to the building. <br />(2) Handicapped-accessible toilet rooms adjacent to the main entrance (within the <br />existing building and not intended as an addition). <br />The Proposal shall include the following items in the Scope of Services: <br />1. General Conditions: <br />a. Work shall not be subcontracted without prior consent of the City in writing. <br />b. Additional billable services shall not be performed without prior consent of <br />the City in writing. <br />c. Key personnel to perform services shall be listed in the proposal. <br />d. The Consultant shall indemnify and hoid the City hatmless from all losses <br />and damages resulting from the Consultant's failure to meet the standazd of <br />care for services at the level customary for competent and prudent engineers <br />performing such services. The Consultant shall be responsible for the <br />professional quality, technical accuracy, timely completion and coordination <br />of all services. <br />e. The scope of services may be amended by mutual agreement. <br />f. If a dispute arises between the Consultant and the City regarding the contract <br />for services, the City and the Consultant shall negotiate in an attempt to resolve <br />the dispute. Should negotiations be unsuccessiui, a mutually acceptable third <br />party may be engaged to mediate the dispute, with expenses equally shared <br />between the City and the Consultant. <br />2. Surveying Services: <br />a. Research and procure all appropriate records and perform all field surveys to <br />establish the horizontal and vertical control and alignment for the proposed <br />improvements. <br />b. Obtain all pertinent information regarding the present conditions at the site <br />with respect to existing installation or other conditions relevant to the design.
