OVERVIEW A1VD BACKGROUND <br />1•) The City of North Olmsted, Ohio is seeking proposals for the provision of <br />concession services for four City pazks throughout two seasons which run <br />approximately from May 1 through November 1 in 1996 and 1997. T'he <br />City parks to be served include Barton and Bradley Field, Clague Park, <br />North Olmsted Park and the Recreation Center Outdoor Pool. <br />'I'he Parks and Recreation Department places great emphasis on providing <br />the community with the-highest quaiity of parks and recreation facilities <br />and programs possible. These park sites enable thousands of community <br />participants to enjoy family oriented, wholesome recreational <br />opportunities for all ages in outdoor settings. <br />Approximate periods for serving the public may include some mornings <br />and aftemoons but the largest numbers of patrons are present during the <br />evening hours from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Typical <br />crowds at these park sites may number up to or more than 200 patrons <br />depending upon the season and the activity being conducted. A specific <br />overview of regularly scheduled activities will be provided. Some special <br />events conducted by community based non-profit organizations may <br />arrange for independently operated food service agreements for a given <br />park site as approved by the City of Nortb Olmsted. <br />B-) RECEIPT OF PROPOSALS <br />1.) Proposais shall be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly labeled, "Park <br />Concession Proposal - Ordinance No. 95-150" to the City of North <br />Olmsted Administration Building, 5200 Dover Center Road, North <br />Olmsted, Ohio 44070, no later than 10:00 a.m., Eastern Standard Time, on <br />Wedne.sday, March 6,1996. Proposals received after this time will not be <br />considered and will be returned unopened. <br />2.) Mandatory Pre-Proposal Meeting <br />All parties interested in submitting a proposal shall attend a mandatory <br />Pre-Proposal Meeting which will involve a complete review of the <br />Request for Proposals for Park Concessions along with the program goals, <br />a tour of park sites, a review of park attendance estimations and schedules, <br />as well as a question and answer period. The mandatory Pre-Proposal <br />Meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, February 28,1996 at 10:00 a.m., <br />Eastem Standard Time, at the City of North Olmsted Administration <br />Building, 5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070.
