<br />Ord,inauae BTo. ? 93 <br />Page Two <br />In a,ddition to their regtzlar salary, all regular members of the Police Department <br />including officera, shall duri.ng each eal:enda.r year reeeive a clothing allowance of <br />$100.00, to be determined and disbursed by and with the approval of the Chie£ of Palice. <br />be and the same is hereby ameuded to read as followss <br />Section la Tha,t beginning September 15, 1960, the base sa].aries of the members <br />of the Police Depaxtment are hereby fixed and determined to be as followsa <br />Chief of Police ? 5,717.28 Annu,al.ly <br />Lieutenan.t of Poliee 6t438.00 " <br />Sergeants 6,115.20 " <br />Patrolmain. for Firet Yea,r 5,190•96 " <br />Patrol.roan for Second Year 51,430•72 '} <br />Patrolman after Second Yeas 5,856.00 " <br />School Gu.ards 1.50 Per hour <br />Auxiliary Police 1.50 Per hour <br />which salaries shall be pa4yable by the &uditox as of September 15, 1960, as follows: <br />Chief of Police $244.03; I,ieutenant of PolicQ $274.79; Sergeants $261.01; Patrol.men <br />for First Yeax $221.57; Fatrolmen for Second Year $231.81; and Patrolmen after Secand <br />Year $249.95, and that the rate of pay for said employees sha11 thereaf'-Eer be at the <br />base rate a,s hereinbefore indicated, payable semi-monthly. <br />FZ11 time employees of the Police Department havissg completed five years of <br />continuoua servicE as a full time employee of said department and only after assumryng <br />full time employment in said department, sha11 be paa.d an additional one percent of <br />their base annual salaxy therea.f'ter until completion of the lOth year of eontinuous <br />service as a tull ti.me employee in said department, when such employee shall receive <br />three percent of his base anla.usl sa].ary per arinum thereafter until the comple-tion of <br />his 15th yea.r of continuaus serviee in said department as a f'uIl time employee, and <br />thereafter shall receive four percent additional increment to his base ann.ual salaxy <br />per annum thereafter until the completion of his 20th year of cantinuous service in <br />said department ae a fta.ll ti_me employee and upon the completion of said 20th year of <br />said continuous service in said department as a full time employee and daring each <br />year of full time employment thereafter, shall reeeive an additional five percent Q£ <br />his base annual salary per annum, as a longevity increment. In computing length of <br />service for the purpose of maki.ng payments i.n the manner hereinabove set forth as <br />longevity increments, no credit shall be given to an employee for service as a part- <br />time employee of either the Police Department or Fire Depa.rtment. Such limitatian is <br />only to apply for the purpose of computing longevity increments and such exelusions <br />for ar?y part time e.mployee in either of the safety depaxtments sha].1 not deprive ox <br />restrict an employee of any other benefit which may be dae hi.m for such part time <br />service as an employee in either safety department, which benefits ase recsognized by <br />ordinances of the city for other purposes, statutes of the State of Ohio or laeriefite <br />to which. he ma,,p be entitled to wa.der the rules and regulations of the Police Relief <br />and Fension Fti.nd or ihe Qhia Nzblic Einployees Retirement System. <br />To eq,uitably ef£eet the application of such longevity i.ncrements, the Auditor <br />as of September 15, 19609 is authorized to gay to Police Chief GeorgE Christman <br />$264.41; Sgt. Clifford Biddulph $282.84; Sgt. Roy Walker $277.68; St. Harry Hi.rd <br />$324.00; 5gt.
