RESOLUTTON N0. 2703 <br />Introduced by Mr. Kramer <br />' CONTRACT FOR CARE OF PRISONERS <br />SENT TO CUYAHOGA COUNTY JAIL <br />DY' THE City of North Olmsted <br />...____._.._ -__...r_..__._....~ <br />WHEREAS the City of North Olmsted is without <br />facilities for the imprisonment, maintenance and feeding of prisoners and <br />/~~'1, <br />desires that the facilities of the Cuyahoga County Jail be made available <br />to it for such purpose; and <br />in~iEREAS~ 3n the administration of 3ustice, it is necessary <br />from time to time that prisoners accused or convicted of the violation of <br />local ordinance or other offenses not in violation of the Statutes of the <br />State of Ohic, be oomm3~tted to Jail; and <br />'WHEREAS, it is provided by Revised Code Section 1905.35 that <br />such municipality shall be allowed for such purposes the use of the Jail <br />of the County at the expense of the Corporation; and <br />WHEREAS Revised Code Section 3]1.20 provides that the-cost <br />of feeding prisoners in such Jail shall not exceed One Dollar and k`ifty Cents <br />($1.54) per day of three meals each. <br />NOW, TTHEREFORE~ it is mutually agreed by and between the <br />,_, Cit~of North Olmsted ,,,~,~,, fly authorised to enter into this Contract <br />by Ordinance of its Council adopted on the ~~~day of~~ 19 5~, <br />Party of the first part, and the County of tfuyahaga, bey resolution duly <br />adopted by the Board of County Commissioners on the ~7T-ti day of <br />-~~~c.~s~ 19~~ party of the second part as follower <br />'That the parry of the second part dose far the aaneideration <br />hereinafter agreed to be paid to it by said party of the fl.rat part, <br />~--~ agree to receive, maintain, feed, and keep as provided by law and subject <br />to the order of the proper authorities c£ the ~ ~' <br />.,...,.......... _... _...... e. <br />........~.......~.., at its Jail, in the City of Cleveland, such prisoners accused or <br />convicted of the violation of local ordiancea or other offenses not in <br />violation of the Statutes of the State of Ohio as are delivered or committed <br />thereto by the police or judicial authorities of said municipality, provided, <br />however, that the second party shall not be required 'bo receive such <br />IN <br />prisoners when ~ its determination inadequate space 3xi the Cuyahoga County <br />M <br />
