301.13 TRAFFIC CODE 6 <br />301.13 GROSS WEIGHT. <br />"Gross weight" shall mean the weight of a vehicle .plus the weight of any load thereon. <br />(Ord.. 613. Passed 7-7-42.) <br />301.14 INTERSECTION. <br />"Intersection" shall mean the area, bounded by the lateral lines, real or projected, <br />of two or more streets or highways which meet or cross each other. <br />301.15 CANED STREET OR HIGHWAY. <br />"Caned street or highway" shall mean a street or highway the roadway of which is <br />divided into two or more clearly marked lanes for vehicular traffic. <br />301.16 MOTORCYCLE. <br />"Motorcycle" shall mean every motor vehicle other than a tractor having a saddle <br />for the use of the operator and designed to travel on not. more than three wheels in contact <br />with the ground. Passed 7-7-42,) <br />301.17 MOTOR VEHICLE. <br />"Motor vehicle" shall mean every vehicle propelled or drawn by power other than <br />muscular power, except road rollers, traction engines, power shovels, power cranes <br />anti other equipmer-t used in construction work and not designed for or employed in general <br />highwa;y transportation, hole-digging rl~achincry, well-drilling machinery, ditch-digging <br />machinery, farm machinery, threshing machinery, hay-baling machinery, and agricultural <br />tractors and machinery used in the production of horticultural, floricultural, agricultural, <br />and vegetable products. Passed 7-7-42.) <br />301.18 PAI~K (WREN PROHIBITED). <br />"Par. k" when prohibited shall mean the standing of a vehicle, whether occupied or not, <br />otherwise than temporarily for the purpose of and while actually engaged in loading or <br />unloading. (Ord. 613. Passed 7-7-42. ) <br />301.19 PEDI~.STRIAN. <br />"Pedestrian" shall mean any natural. person afoot. (Ord. 6.13. Passed 7-7-42.) <br />301.20 PERSON. <br />"Person" shall mean every n:rtu.ral person, firm, copartnership, association, or <br />corporation. (Ord. 613.. Passed 7-7-42.) <br />301.21 POLE TRAILER. <br />"Pole trailer" shall mean every trailer or semitrailer attached to the towing vehicle <br />by means of a reach, pole, or by being boomed or otherwise secured to the towing vehicle, <br />and ordinarily used for transporting long or irregular shaped loads such as poles, pipes, <br />or structural members capable, generally, of sustaining themselves as beams between <br />the supporting connections. (Ord. 613. Passed 7-7-42.) <br />301.22 POLICE OFFICER. <br />"Police officer" shall mean every officer authorized to direct or regulate traffic, or <br />to make arrests for violations of traffic regulations.
