Ch. 341 <br />Commercial curb loading zones - see TRAF. 351.08 <br />Parking on narrow streets - see TRAF. 351.10 <br />Truck parking in residential districts -see TRAF. 351.11 <br />339.01 SPECIAL PERMITS FOR VEHICLES. <br />The Chief of the Police Department may, upon application in writing and for <br />good cause shown, issue a special permit in writing authorizing the applicant to operate <br />or move a vehicle or combination of vehicles. of a size or weight of vehicle or load exceed- <br />ing the maximum specified in Ohio Revised Code, 5577.01 to 5577.09, inclusive, or <br />Codified Ordinances Section 339.02 and Section 339.03, yr otherwise not in conformity <br />with Codified Ordinance Chapter 337, upon any street or other public place. Any such <br />perrnlt may be issued for a single or a round trip or, in special instances, for a certain <br />period of time. <br />The Chief of the Police Department may issue or withhold such permit; or, if <br />such permit is issued, may limit or prescribo conditions of operation for such vehicle, <br />and require bond or other security necessary to compensate for any damage to a roadway <br />or road structure. <br />Every such permit shall be carried in the vehicle or combination of vehicles to which <br />it refers and shall be open to inspection by any police officer or lawful authority. No <br />_ person shall violate any of the terms of such permit. (ORC 4513.34) <br />339.02 VEHICLES EXCEEDING SIX TONS. <br />No person shall drive or operate, or cause to be driven or operated, any vehicle used <br />for the transportation of goods or property, the gross weight of which, with load, exceeds <br />six tons, upon the streets, bridges and culverts within this Municipality except on de~ig- <br />nated and marked "truck routes" or State routes. Drivers of such vehicles whose gross <br />weight, with load, exceeds weight limits prescribed by this chapter may deliver or pickup <br />goods or property at places not located on State or truck routes provided such vehicles <br />are only operated by the shortest way possible between the State or truck route and the <br />place of delivery or pickup or as otherwise directed by a police officer. <br />
