341.02 TRAFFIC -CODE 44 <br />(e) No person shall operate such motor vehicle on the streets or highways of the City ~' <br />contrary to any rules, regulations or- administrative orders of the Public Utilities Com- <br />mission of Ohio. (Ord. 971. Passed 6-17-52.) <br />341.02 DEFINITIONS. <br />The term "motor carrier" as used in this chapter shall include all motor transportation <br />companies transporting property as defined in Section 4921.02 of the Revised Code of Ohio, <br />and all private motor carriers or contract carriers by motor vehicles transporting pro- <br />perty as defined in Section 4923.02 of the Ohio Revised Code. Owner drivers of motor <br />vehicles leased by motor transportation companies, by private motor carriers, or by <br />contract carriers by motor vehicle, are employees of such motor carriers and as such <br />are subject to the rules and regulations in this chapter. <br />(Ord. 892. Passed 5-15-51. ) <br />341,03 DRIVER'S PHYSCIAL AND MENTAL CONDITION. <br />No motor carrier shall require or permit any person to operate a motor vehicle, <br />and no person shall operate such motor vehicle unless such operator is in sound physical <br />and mental condition and shall not have the loss of a foot, leg, hand or arm or shall not <br />suffer any other physical limitations or defects that interfere with proper and safe driving <br />of a motor vehicle. (Ord. 892. Passed 5-15-51. ) <br />341.04 EQUIPMENT REQUIRED. <br />No driver shall move a vehicle transporting property in the City unless such vehicle <br />is properly equipped, as follows: <br />(a) Lighting devices and reflectors. <br />(b) Brakes, both service and hand, capable of stopping the loaded vehicle. <br />(c) Horn, in such condition as to give an adequate and reliable warning signal. <br />(d) Windshield wipers. <br />(e) Windshield clean and clear. <br />(f) Unobstructed rear vision mirrors. <br />(g) Steering mechanism. <br />(h) Coupling devices. (Ord. 892. Passed 5-15-51.) <br />341. U5 ACCESSORIES TO BE IN PLACE. <br />Motor vehicles shall not be used unless the following accessories are in place: <br />(a) Fire extinguisher, labeled by Underwriters Laboratories, Inc., minimum size <br />one quart carbon tetrachloride or two pounds carbon dioxide. <br />(b) One red lantern and red cloth flag when projecting loads are carried. <br />(c) Two red cloth flags at least twelve inches by twelve inches with standards to <br />hold in upright position in the road and so carried on the vehicle so as to be protected <br />from oil and moisture. <br />(d) Three flares (pot torches) or red electric lanterns capable of burning at least <br />twelve hours. <br /> <br />
