Wi-IEREAS, there presently exists, under the contract between the City and Floyd Browne and Associates, consulting engineers, an option that may be exercised by the City to retain the services of a consultant engineer by said Floyd Browne and Associates to assist the Estimating Board in the preparation of the assessments for the sanitary sewer line, NOW, 'l'H~:RFFORE, i3~, IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Citp oj' North Olmsted, State of Ohio: Section 1: The lirector of Public Service is hereby authorized and directed to exercise the option contained in the contract between ~~loyd 3~rawr1e and Associates and the City, and for the purpose of securing the services of Harry Kenard, an employee of Floyd Browne and Associates, to work with, assist, and advise the Estimating Board in the preparation of. assessments to be levied on the properties benefited by the construction of a sanitary sewer to the ex- tent of the benefits determined by said Board accruing to aforesaid properties, and whose services shall be compensated by the City in accordance with the terms appearing in the heretofore reported option. Section 2: GTherefore, this resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety, and welfare of said City, and such emergency exists by virtue of securing the services of said Harry Kenard to assist the Estimating Board, which is to immediately proceed to ascertain the assessments to be levied for the construc- tion of the lateral sanitary sewers in the City. Section 3: lntherefore, this resolution shall take immediate effect from and after its passage, otherwise, at the ear±iest period a"llo?~red by law.
