<br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of North
<br />Olmsted, State of Ohio:
<br />Section 1. That Section 1 and 2 of Ordinance 3093 enacted Septe~aber 6,
<br />1960, amending Sections 1 and 2 of ©rdinance 3043 enacted 3vu~e 14, 1960, amending
<br />Sections 1 and 2 of Ordinast~ee 2821, enacted March 3, 1958, annendixag Sections 1 and
<br />2 of Ordinance 2603 enacted December 17, 1957, amending Sections 1 and 2 of Ordin
<br />once 2214, entitled "An Ordinance Determining Salaries, Wags amd Bonds of Appointed
<br />Officials and Employes of the City of North Olmsted" as amended by Ordinance 2496
<br />enacted June 4, 1957 and Ordinance 2533 enacted August 20, 1957, as am®nded by
<br />Ordinance 3118 enacted October 4, 1960, and a,s amended by Ordina~a.ce 3187 enacted
<br />December 6, 1960, be amended to read. as followsa
<br />"Section 1: That beginning April 1, 1g61, the base salaries of the
<br />members of the Police Department are hereby fixed and determined to be as follows:
<br />Chief of Police ~ 7,130.31 Annually
<br />Lieutenant of Police ~. 6,598.95 "
<br />Sergeants 6, 268.08
<br />Patrolman for First Year 5,320.73 "
<br />Patrolman for Second Year ~ 5566.49 "
<br />Patrolman After Second Yeax • 6,002.40
<br />School Guards 1.75 Per Hour
<br />Auxiliary Police 1.75 Per hour
<br />which salaries shall be payable by the Aazditor Semi-Monthly.
<br />Frill time employees of the Police Department having co~apleted five years of
<br />continuous service as a full time employee of said department and only after
<br />assuming fu11 time employement in said d.epsxtment, shall be pa3,d ati additional.
<br />one percent of their base annual salary thereafter until completion of the loth
<br />year of continuous service as a full time employee i.n said departmehfi, when such
<br />employee shall receive three percent of his base annual salary per aa~n' there-
<br />after until. the completion of his 15th year of continuous service in said depart-
<br />ment as a full time employee, and thereafter shall receive four percent additiaa~al
<br />increment to his base annual salary per annum thereafter until the completion of
<br />his 20th year of continuous service in said department as a full time employyee and
<br />upon the completian of said 20th year of said continuous service in said department
<br />as a full time employee and during each year of full time e~nployee`ent thereafter,
<br />shall receive an additional five percent of his base annual salary per a~nntatai, as a
<br />longevity increment. In computing length of service for the purpom~e of mal~ing
<br />paya~aents in the manner herenabove set forth as longevity increments., no credit
<br />shall be given to an employee for seritice as a part-time employee of +either the
<br />Police Department o~ Fire Department. Such limitation is only to apply for the
<br />purpose of computing longevity increments and such exclusions for sexy part time
<br />employee in either of the safety departments shall not deprive or restrict an
<br />employee of any other benefit which may be due him for such part time service as
<br />an employee in either safety department, which benefits are recognized by ordinances
<br />of the city for other purposes, statutes of the State of Ohio or benefits to which
<br />he may be entitled to under the males and regulations of the Police Relief and
<br />Pension Fund or the Ohio Public ~iployees Retirment System.
