(Explanatory only - Longevity Increment) 1 - 5 Years No Increment 6 - 10 years inclusive 1 ~ Increment 11 - 15 years inclusive 3 J Increment 16 - 2fl years inclusive 4 ~ Increment 21 yews & thereafter per year 5 f Increment Section 2s That beginning April 1, 1961, the base salaries of the members of the Fire Department are hereby fixed and determined to be as follows: Fire Chief ~• 7,130.31 Annually Assistant Chief of Fire Department - 6,699.56 " Fire Lieutenant 6,268.08 " Firemen for First Year 5,320.73 Firemen for Second Year 5,566.49 Firemen After Second Year ~ 6,002.40 " Part-time Firemen 1.75 Per Hour which salaries shall be payable by the Auditor Semi-Monthly. Full time employees of the Fire Department having completed five years of continuous service as a full time employee of saa,d department atld only after assuming full time empl in said department, shall be paid an additional one percent of their base annual salary thereafter until completion of the 10th year of continuous service as a full time employee in said department, when such employee shall receive three percent of his base annual salary per annum thereafter until the completion of his 15th year of conti~taus service in said department as a full time employee, and thereafter shall receive four percent additic~.al incase- ment to his base annual salary per annum thereafter until the completiaa~ of his 20th year of continuous service in said department as a full time employee and upon the completion of said 20th year of said continuous service in said department as a full time employee and during each year of full time employment thereafter, shall receive an additional five percent of his base annual salary per annum, as a longevity incre- ment. In computing length of service for the purpose of making payments in the manner hereinabove set forth. as longevity increments, no credit shall be given to an. employee for service as a past-time employee of either the Police Depar-Faaent or the Fire Department. Such limitation is only to apply for the purpose of computing longevity increments and such exclusions for any part time employee i.>3 either of the safety departments shall not deprive or restrict an employee in either safety department of any other benefit which may be due for such part time service, which benefits are recognized by ordinances of the city for other purposes, statutes of the State of Ohio or benefits to which he may be entitled to under the rxa:les and regulations of the Firemen:' Relief and Pension Fund or the Ohio Public employees Retirement System.
