<br />ORDINANCE NO. 61 - .~J~ <br />CONTINUED <br />In addition to the regular base salary, plus increment and other wage <br />increases, all regular members of the Police Department, including officere, <br />shall on their original. appointmezt to the department and cinring the first <br />calendar year during their appointment, receive X175.00 clothing a].loxance <br />and shall during each calendar year thereafter, receive a clothing a3.lc~wance <br />of $100.00 to be determined and disbursed by and with the approval of the <br />Chief of the Police Department." <br />(Explanatory only - Longevity Increment) <br />1 - 5 Years No Increment <br />6 - 10 years inclusive 1 ~ Increment <br />11 - 15 years inclusive 3 J Increment <br />16 - 2fl years inclusive 4 ~ Increment <br />21 yews & thereafter per year 5 f Increment <br />Section 2s That beginning April 1, 1961, the base salaries of the <br />members of the Fire Department are hereby fixed and determined to be as follows: <br />Fire Chief ~• 7,130.31 Annually <br />Assistant Chief of Fire Department - 6,699.56 " <br />Fire Lieutenant 6,268.08 " <br />Firemen for First Year 5,320.73 <br />Firemen for Second Year 5,566.49 <br />Firemen After Second Year ~ 6,002.40 " <br />Part-time Firemen 1.75 Per Hour <br />which salaries shall be payable by the Auditor Semi-Monthly. <br />Full time employees of the Fire Department having completed five years of <br />continuous service as a full time employee of saa,d department atld only after <br />assuming full time empl in said department, shall be paid an additional <br />one percent of their base annual salary thereafter until completion of the 10th <br />year of continuous service as a full time employee in said department, when such <br />employee shall receive three percent of his base annual salary per annum thereafter <br />until the completion of his 15th year of conti~taus service in said department as <br />a full time employee, and thereafter shall receive four percent additic~.al incase- <br />ment to his base annual salary per annum thereafter until the completiaa~ of his 20th <br />year of continuous service in said department as a full time employee and upon the <br />completion of said 20th year of said continuous service in said department as a full <br />time employee and during each year of full time employment thereafter, shall receive <br />an additional five percent of his base annual salary per annum, as a longevity incre- <br />ment. In computing length of service for the purpose of making payments in the <br />manner hereinabove set forth. as longevity increments, no credit shall be given to <br />an. employee for service as a past-time employee of either the Police Depar-Faaent or <br />the Fire Department. Such limitation is only to apply for the purpose of computing <br />longevity increments and such exclusions for any part time employee i.>3 either of <br />the safety departments shall not deprive or restrict an employee in either safety <br />department of any other benefit which may be due for such part time service, which <br />benefits are recognized by ordinances of the city for other purposes, statutes of <br />the State of Ohio or benefits to which he may be entitled to under the rxa:les and <br />regulations of the Firemen:' Relief and Pension Fund or the Ohio Public employees <br />Retirement System. <br />In addition to the regular base salary, plus increment and other wage <br />increases, all regular me>abers of the_Fire Department, including officers, <br />shall on their origins]. appointment to .,the department and during the first <br />calendar year durisfg their appointment, receive X175.00 clothing allowance <br />and shall during each .calendar year thereafter, receive a clothing allowance <br />of $100.00 to be determined and disbursed by and with the approval of the Fire <br />Chief of the Department. <br /> <br />
