ORDINANCE N0. 62 - 138 Page 4 For each full time member of the Police Department (excluding Auxiliary Police) the City of North Olmsted shall pay the sum of $7.25 per month toward the total cost of Blue Cross Hospitalization premiums of said members of the Police force. Section 2: That beginning July 15, 1962, the base salaries of the members of the Fire Department are hereby fixed and determined to be as follows: Fire Chief $7,230.31 Annually Assistant Chief of Fire Department 6,799.56 Fire Lieutenant 6,318.08 Firemen for First Year 5,320.73 " Firemen for Second Year 5,566.48, " Firemen after Second Year 6,002.40 " Part-time Firemen 1.75 per hour which salaries shall be payable by the Director of Finance Semi-monthly. Full time employees of the Fire Department having completed five years of continuous service as a full time employee of said department and only after assuming full time employment in said department, shall be paid an additional -e percent of their base annual salary thereafter until completion of the 10th year of continuous service as a full time employee in said department, when such employee shall receive three percent of his base annual salary per annum thereafter until the completion of his 15th year of continuous service in said department as a full time employee, and thereafter shall receive four percent additional increment to his base annual salary per annum thereafter until the completion of his 20th year of continuous service in said department as a full time employee and upon the completion of said 20th year of said continuous service in said department as a full. time employee and during each year of full time employment thereafter, shall receive an additional five percent of his base annual salary per annum, as a longevity increment. In computing length of service for the purpose of making payments in the manner hereinabove set forth as longevity increments, no credit shall be given to an employee for service as a part-time employee of either the Police Department or the Fire Department. Such limitation is only to apply for the purpose of computing longevity increments and such exclusions for any part time employee in either of the safety departments shall not deprive or restrict an employee in either safety departments of any other benefit which may be due for such part time service, which benefits are recognized by ordinances of the city for other purposes, statutues of the State of Ohio or benefits to which he may be entitled to under the rules and regulations of the Firemens' Relief and Pension Fund or the Ohio Public E~ployees Retirement System. In addition to the regular base salary, plus increment and other wage increases, all regular members of the Fire Department, including officers, shall on their original appointment to the department and during the first calendar year during their appointment, receive $175.00 clothing allowance and shall during each calendar year thereafter, receive a clothing allowance of $150.00 to be determined and disbursed by and with the approval of the Fire Chief of the Department.
