(Explanatory only - Longevity Increment3 1 - 5 years No Increment 6 - i4 years inclusive 1 ~ Increment 11 - 15 years inclusive ~ ~ Increment 16 - 20 years inclusive 4'x Increment 21 years & thereafter per year S ~ Increment "Section 2: That beginning April 1, 1961, the base salaries of the members of the Fire Department are hereby fixed and determined to be as follows: Fire Chief Assistant Chief of Fire Lieutenant Firemen for First Firemen for Second Firemen After Seco~ Part-time Firemen $ 7,130.31 Annually Fire Department 6,699«S6 (1r, 26$.08 Year 5,320.73 Year 5, 566.49 *' ad Year 6,002.40 " 1.75 Per Hour which salaries shall be payable by the Auditor Semi-A+ionthly. Full time employees of the Fire Department having completed five years of continuous service as a foil tint emplyyee of said department and only after assuming full time employment $n said department, shall be paid an additional one percent of their base annual salary thereafter until completion of the 14th year of continuous service as a full time employee in said department, when such employee shall receive three percent of his base annual salary per annum thereafter until the completion of his 15th year of continuous service in said department as a full time employee, and thereafter shall receive four percent additional increment to his base annual salary per annum thereafter until the completion of his 24th year of continuous service in said d~apartment as a foil time employee and upon the completion of said 20th year of said continuous service in said department as a full time employee and during each year of full time employment thereafter, shall re- ceive an additional five percent of his base annual salary per annum, as a longevity increment. In computing length of service for the purpose of making pagments in the manner hereinabove set forth as longevity increments, no credits shall be given to an employee for service as a part-time employee of either the Police Department or the Fire Department. Such limitation is only t0 apply for the purpose of computing longevity increments and such exclusions for any part time employee in either of the safety de- partments of any other benefit which may be due for such part time service, which benefits are recognized by ordinahces of the city for other purposes, statutes of the State of Qhio or benefits t© which he may be entitled to under the rules and regulations of the Firemens' Relief and Pension Fund or the fJhio Public Bmployees Retirement System. In addition to the regular base salary, plus increment and other wage increases, ail regular members of the Fire Department, including officers, shall on their original appointment tm the department and duringg the first caleadar'~t during their appoint- ment, receive $175.4f~ clothing allowance amd shall during each calendar year thereafter, receive a clothing allowance of $100.© to be determined and disbursed by and with the approval of the Fire Chief of the Department.
