4RDTNANCE No. 62 "/v~ <br />Page 2 <br />during each calendar year thereafter, receive a clothing <br />allowance of $l0U.Q4 to be determined and disbursed by and <br />with the approval of the Chief of the Police Department. <br />(Explanatory only - Longevity Increment3 <br />1 - 5 years No Increment <br />6 - i4 years inclusive 1 ~ Increment <br />11 - 15 years inclusive ~ ~ Increment <br />16 - 20 years inclusive 4'x Increment <br />21 years & thereafter per year S ~ Increment <br />"Section 2: That beginning April 1, 1961, the base <br />salaries of the members of the Fire Department are hereby fixed <br />and determined to be as follows: <br />Fire Chief <br />Assistant Chief of <br />Fire Lieutenant <br />Firemen for First <br />Firemen for Second <br />Firemen After Seco~ <br />Part-time Firemen <br />$ 7,130.31 Annually <br />Fire Department 6,699«S6 <br />(1r, 26$.08 <br />Year 5,320.73 <br />Year 5, 566.49 *' <br />ad Year 6,002.40 " <br />1.75 Per Hour <br />which salaries shall be payable by the Auditor Semi-A+ionthly. <br />Full time employees of the Fire Department having completed <br />five years of continuous service as a foil tint emplyyee of said <br />department and only after assuming full time employment $n said <br />department, shall be paid an additional one percent of their <br />base annual salary thereafter until completion of the 14th year <br />of continuous service as a full time employee in said department, <br />when such employee shall receive three percent of his base annual <br />salary per annum thereafter until the completion of his 15th year <br />of continuous service in said department as a full time employee, <br />and thereafter shall receive four percent additional increment to <br />his base annual salary per annum thereafter until the completion <br />of his 24th year of continuous service in said d~apartment as a foil <br />time employee and upon the completion of said 20th year of said <br />continuous service in said department as a full time employee <br />and during each year of full time employment thereafter, shall re- <br />ceive an additional five percent of his base annual salary per <br />annum, as a longevity increment. In computing length of service <br />for the purpose of making pagments in the manner hereinabove set <br />forth as longevity increments, no credits shall be given to an <br />employee for service as a part-time employee of either the Police <br />Department or the Fire Department. Such limitation is only t0 <br />apply for the purpose of computing longevity increments and such <br />exclusions for any part time employee in either of the safety de- <br />partments of any other benefit which may be due for such part time <br />service, which benefits are recognized by ordinahces of the city <br />for other purposes, statutes of the State of Qhio or benefits t© <br />which he may be entitled to under the rules and regulations of <br />the Firemens' Relief and Pension Fund or the fJhio Public Bmployees <br />Retirement System. <br />In addition to the regular base salary, plus increment and <br />other wage increases, ail regular members of the Fire Department, <br />including officers, shall on their original appointment tm the <br />department and duringg the first caleadar'~t during their appoint- <br />ment, receive $175.4f~ clothing allowance amd shall during each <br />calendar year thereafter, receive a clothing allowance of $100.© <br />to be determined and disbursed by and with the approval of the <br />Fire Chief of the Department. <br />
