In competing length of sez- vice for the purpaae of making payments in the manner herenabove set forth as longevity increments, no credit shall be given to an employee for service as a part-time employee of either the Police Department or Fire Department. Such limitation is only to apply for the purpose of competing longevity increments and such ex- clusions for any part tame employee in either of the safety de- partments shall not deprave or restrict an employee of any bstrher benefit which may be due him for such part tine service as an employee an either safety department, which benefits are recog- nized by ordinances of the city for other parposeas, statutes of the State of Ohio or benefits to which he may be entitled t4 under the rules and regulations of the P+~lice Relief and Pension Fund or the dhio Fubiie ~mpioyees Retirement System.
