ORDINANCE No. b2 ~ / ~ -~ <br />Page 4 <br />$150.00 to be determined and disbursed by and with the <br />approval of the Chief of the Police Department. <br />(Explanatory only - Longevity Increment) <br />1 - 5 years No Increment <br />b - 10 years inclusive 1 ~ Increment <br />11 - 15 years inclusive 3 9~ Increment <br />16 - 2D years inclusive 4 ~ Increment <br />21 years h thereafter per year S ~ Increment <br />For each full time member of the Police Department <br />(excluding Auxiliary Police) the City of North t?lmsted i~hall <br />pay the sum of $?. 25 per month toward the total cost of Elue <br />Cross Hospitalization premiums of said members of the Police <br />force. <br />Section 2s That beginning July 15, 1962, the base <br />salaries of the me~sbers of the Fare Department are hereby fixed <br />and determined to be as follows: <br />Fire Chief $ 7,30.31 Annually <br />Assistant Chief of Fire Department 6,799.56 ~' <br />Fire Lieutenant 6,318.18 ~' <br />Firemen for First year 3,320.73 ~' <br />Firemen for Second year 3,566.44 *~ <br />Firemen After Second year 6,002.40 ~" <br />Part-time Firemen <br />1.75 Per Dour <br />which salaries shall be payable by the Director of Finance <br />Semi-monthly. <br />Full time employees of the Fire Department haviag eompleted <br />five years of continuous service as a full time employee a-f said <br />department and only after assuming full time employment in said <br />department, shall be paid an additional one percent of their <br />base annual salary thereafter until completion of the IDth year <br />of continuous service as a full time employee in said c#cpaxtment, <br />when such employee shall receive three percent of his base annual <br />salary per annum thereafter until the completion of his 1Sth <br />gear of continuous service in said department as a full time <br />employee, and thereafter shall receive four percent additional <br />increment to his base annual salary per annum thereafter until <br />the completion of his 20th year of continuous service in said <br />department as a full time employee and upon the completion of <br />said 20th year of said continuous service in said department as <br />a full time employee and during each pear of full time employment <br />thereafter, shall receive an additional five percent of his base <br />annual salary per annum, as a longevity 3.acremant. In cc~puting <br />length of service for the purpose of making payments in the <br />manner hereinabove set forth as longevity increments, no credit <br />shall be given to an employee for service as a part-tiffie e~pioyee <br />of either the Police Department or the Fire Department. Such <br />limitation is only to apply for the purpose of computstg longevity <br />increments and such exclusions for any part time employee is <br />either of the safety departments shall not deprive or restrict <br />an employee in either safety department of any other benefit <br />which may be due for such part time service, which benefits are <br />recogni2ed by ordinances of the city for other purpose, statutes <br />of the State of Qhio or benefits to which he may be entitled to <br />under the rules and regulations of the Firemens* Relief and Pen- <br />sion Fund or the Qhio Public Fm~ployees Retirement System. <br /> <br />
