Section 2s That beginning July 15, 1962, the base salaries of the me~sbers of the Fare Department are hereby fixed and determined to be as follows: Fire Chief $ 7,30.31 Annually Assistant Chief of Fire Department 6,799.56 ~' Fire Lieutenant 6,318.18 ~' Firemen for First year 3,320.73 ~' Firemen for Second year 3,566.44 *~ Firemen After Second year 6,002.40 ~" Part-time Firemen 1.75 Per Dour which salaries shall be payable by the Director of Finance Semi-monthly. Full time employees of the Fire Department haviag eompleted five years of continuous service as a full time employee a-f said department and only after assuming full time employment in said department, shall be paid an additional one percent of their base annual salary thereafter until completion of the IDth year of continuous service as a full time employee in said c#cpaxtment, when such employee shall receive three percent of his base annual salary per annum thereafter until the completion of his 1Sth gear of continuous service in said department as a full time employee, and thereafter shall receive four percent additional increment to his base annual salary per annum thereafter until the completion of his 20th year of continuous service in said department as a full time employee and upon the completion of said 20th year of said continuous service in said department as a full time employee and during each pear of full time employment thereafter, shall receive an additional five percent of his base annual salary per annum, as a longevity 3.acremant. In cc~puting length of service for the purpose of making payments in the manner hereinabove set forth as longevity increments, no credit shall be given to an employee for service as a part-tiffie e~pioyee of either the Police Department or the Fire Department. Such limitation is only to apply for the purpose of computstg longevity increments and such exclusions for any part time employee is either of the safety departments shall not deprive or restrict an employee in either safety department of any other benefit which may be due for such part time service, which benefits are recogni2ed by ordinances of the city for other purpose, statutes of the State of Qhio or benefits to which he may be entitled to under the rules and regulations of the Firemens* Relief and Pen- sion Fund or the Qhio Public Fm~ployees Retirement System.
