1213.05 Illumination Of Parki Areas <br />Parking areas shall be thoroughly illuminated whenever <br />determined necessary by the Mayor to protect the public safety <br />Such illumination shall be so designed and located that light <br />sources are shielded from adjoining residential districts and <br />streetsy and shall not be of excessive brightness or cause a <br />glare hazardous to pedestrians or drivers. <br />CHAPTER 1214 ~ LOADING FACILITIES <br />1214.01 General Requirements <br />Loading andfor unloading facilities shall be provided for <br />all business, service, commercial and industrial buildings <br />hereafter erected or altered for such uses. The facilities <br />shall be maintained as long as such building is occupied, shall <br />continue unobstructed and not be used for repair or servicing <br />of motor vehicles. Space required and allocated for off•atreet <br />parking shall not be allocated or used to satisfy the space <br />requirements for off~•street loading. <br />1214.02 Location Of Loadin Space <br />All required loading spaces shall be located on the same <br />lot as the use served and arranged so that a public street or <br />sidewalk will not be occupied during the loading or unloading <br />process. Such spaces may be open or enclosed. They shall not <br />be located in any required yard or less than 50 feet from a <br />residential district. <br />1214.03 Access Driveways <br />Each required off••street loading apace shall be designed <br />for direct access to a street or alley in a manner so as to <br />cause the least possible interference with traffic movements <br />on the street. All open off«•street loading spaces and driveways <br />shall be provided with surface improvements as required for <br />parking areas, as set forth in Section 1213.04. <br />.~ 79 ~- <br />
