Page 2 <br />Section 3: That as an alternative, this Council respectfully <br />suggests that all posaible steps be taken to institute a moratorium on the appli- <br />cation of the Supreme Court decision until the problem can be completely <br />studied on a statewide basis and appropriate corrective measures recommended <br />and instituted. <br />Section 4: That copies of this resolution be mailed to James <br />• A. Rhodes, Govemor of Ohio; Stanley Mechem, President Pro-tem of the Ohio <br />State Senate; Roger Cloud, Speaker of the Ohio House of Representatives; <br />and Ralph J. Perk, County Auditor. <br />Section 5: That this Resolution is hereby determined to <br />be an emergency measure necessary for the preservation of the public welfare <br />and that such emergency exists by virtue of the fact that unless the Leqiblature <br />of the State of Ohio provides in law for more favorable rate in the taxinq of <br />residential property or a moratorium is instituted, the home owners in the City <br />of North Olmsted will be subject to an increase in real property taxes: <br />WHEREFORE, this Resolution shall take tffect immediately upon its passage, <br />otherwise, at the earliest period allowed by law. <br />• <br />n <br />U <br />PASSED: <br />ATTEST: ol Francis J.
