?
?s
Qlttg o# WIIx?4 (DlxttStEb
OHIO 44070
OFFICE OF THE MAYOR
ROBERT W. SWIETYNIOWSKI
M AYO R
T0: Council
DATE:
FROM: Mayor Robert W. Swietyniowski SUBJECT
Dear Mrs. Campbell:

Phone: 777-8000
December 28, 1978
Veto of Resolution
78-163
I am returning to you Resolution 78-163, which I am vetoing for the
following reasons:
l. After considerable study of the Northeast Ohio Areawide
Coordinating Agency (NOACA) 208 Water Pollution Abatement
Plan, I feel that its merits as a program to clean up water-
ways in the five-county area are justification for the Plan's
acceptance;
2. A great deal of time, expertise, and expense have gone
into the preparation of this plan for water pollution abate-
ment on the parts of those involved from NOACA;
3. A plan for water pollution abatement is badly needed, and
the 208 Plan is the only one available;
4. Fairview Park, Rocky River, and Westlake have accepted the
NOACA 208 Water Pollution Abatement Plan. A concerted, coopera-
tive spirit by neighboring communities will aid in the fullest
and best implementation of the Plan.
Thank you.
Very truly yours,
NORTH OLMSTED
b ?
