C I TY OF NORTH OLTISTED <br />RESOLUTION N0. 78-/6.3 <br />PAGE 2. <br />Environmental Protection Agency and National Pollutant Discharge Elimination <br />System (NPDES) reauirements so that the present and federally on-going <br />ftmded water pollution control programs continue without interruption or <br />modification. <br />SECTION 4: That this Council requests the NQACA 208 Policy Board to <br />develop several options for the organization and agency responsibility for <br />the continuing planning and management function for non-point source water <br />pollution control and abatement. Said options should give attention to the <br />need for technical staffing and the appropriate role of elected officials. <br />SECTION S: That this Council recomonends and requests the Ohio and <br />UniteecStates Environmental Protection Agencies to modify the reQuirement <br />establishing November 3, 1978, as the date for adopting a 208 Plan and <br />suggests that a realistic new date be set after the International Joint <br />Commission has completed its hearings on the Environmental Management <br />Strategy for the Great Lakes System and has recommended ooals and objectives <br />for non-point pollution control. <br />SECTION 6: That the Clerk of Council be, and she is hereby instructed <br />to transmit a certified copy of this Resolution to Mayor Alexander Roman, <br />President of NOACA 208 Policy Board. <br />SECTTpN 7: That this Resolution shall take effect and be in force <br />from and after the earliest beriod allowed bv law. <br />PASSED : <br />ATTEST : <br />FL NCE CAMPBELL, CLEF.KeF COUNCIL <br />APPROVED: <br />ROBERT W.
