Effective January l, 1979, the various salaries shall be fixed as <br />follows: <br />Chief of Police <br />Captains <br />Lieutenants <br />Sergeants <br />Patrolmen - First Year <br />Patrolmen - Second Year <br />Patrolmen - After Second Year <br />School Guards <br />Auxiliary Police <br />Police Matron <br />Full-time Police Officer Working for <br />the City of North Olmsted during <br />off-duty hours <br />Dispatchers (civilian part-time) <br />Dispatchers (civilian full-time) <br />Senior Dispatcher (full-time) <br />C. Any sworn full-time employee shall, <br />Detectives, be paid additional compensation at <br />all time spent as Plainclothes Detectives or a <br />$26,974.00 Annually <br />$23,862.00 Annually <br />$21,693.00 Annually <br />$19,721.00 Annually <br />$15,011.00 Annually <br />$16,400.00 Annually <br />$17,928.00 Annually <br />$ 2.65 Per Hour <br />$2.15 to $2.68 Per Hour <br />$1.35 to $2.64 Per Hour <br />$3.20 to $7.00 Per Hour <br />$3.30 Per Hour <br />$ 6,890.00 Annually <br />$ 7,090.00 Annual1y <br />while on duty as Plainclothes <br />the rate of $400.00 annually for <br />s Juvenile Officers. <br />D. That all full-time sworn employees of the Police Department having <br />completed five (5) years of full-time continuous service, as employees of said <br />Department, shall be paid an additional four percent (4%) of their base annual <br />salary; thereafter until completion of the tenth (lOth) year of full-time continuous <br />service, after which such employee shall receive five percent (5%) of their base <br />annual salary; thereafter until the completion of their fifteenth (15th).year of <br />full-time continuous service, such employee shall get six percent (6%) of their <br />base annual salary until after the completion of the twentieth (20th) year of <br />full-time continuous service, and during each year of full-time service thereafter <br />they shall receive seven percent (7%) of their base annual salary as longevity <br />increments. <br />E. In computing length of service for the purpose of making payments of <br />longevity increments hereinabove set forth, no credit shall be given for part-time <br />service, but such limitation is only for the purpose of computing longevity increments <br />and the exclusion for part-time service shall not deprive any employee of any other <br />benefits which may be due them for part-time service as employees in the Safety <br />Department. <br />F. The secretarial and clerical help of the Police Department of the City <br />of North Olmsted shall receive as longevity increments, the sum of twenty-five <br />dollars ($25.00). This longevity increment shall be payable over and above any <br />annual salary or hourly salary paid secretarial or clerical help, at the rate of <br />twenty-five dollars ($25.00) for each and every year said secretary or clerical <br />help has been continually employed by the City of North Olmsted, and said sum <br />shall 6e paid on each anniversary date of employment. <br />G. In addition to the regular base salary, plus increments and other wage <br />increases, full time sworn employees of the Police Department, shall on their <br />original appointment and during the first calendar year thereafter receive a <br />clothing allowance of three hundred dollars ($300.00) to be determined and disbursed <br />by and with the approval of the Police Chief of the Department. <br />H. That effective July 22, 1976, and thereafter, with the exception of <br />secretaries, clerical help and civilian dispatchers, the City of North Olmsted shall <br />pay the full amount for the hospitalization insurance costs of all full-time <br />employees of the North Olmsted Police Department with either Blue Cross and Medical <br />Mutual Hospitalization Plan or the Kaiser Community Health Foundation Plan. <br />Nothing contained herein shall be construed so as to aford said coverage to either <br />Auxiliary Police or School Guards.
