One 1 Foreman <br />(1) Six (6) maintenance men <br />..? <br />? <br />SECTION 5: That retroactive to January 1, 1978, the compensa- <br />tion to be paid to the following employees in the Service Department <br />of the Public Works Division, shall be as follows: <br />Public Works Commissioner <br />Superintendent of Public <br />Service and Properties <br />Section <br />Vehicle Maintenance <br />Department Foreman <br />Service Dept. Foreman <br />Ser. Dispatcher-Main. <br />Ser. Analysis <br />$16,000 to $21,500 Annually <br />$17,500 to $20,700 Annually <br />$15,500 to $17,200 Annually <br />$14,500 to $16,500 Annually <br />$ 9,000 to $12,000 Annually <br />which salaries shall be paid bi-weekly by the Director of Finance. <br />SECTION 6: The normal work week for regular full-time foremen <br />and dispatcher in the Service Department will be forty (40) hours of work <br />in five (5) days of eight (8) consecutive hours per day, exclusive of <br />time allowed for meals during the period starting 12:01 A.M. Monday to <br />midnight Sunday. <br />In determining whether a foreman and dispatcher has worked in <br />excess of forty (40) hours in any work week, hours on a holiday which the <br />employee did not work but for which he received pay shall be considered to <br />be hours worked. There shall be no pyramiding of overtime. <br />Effective July 1, 1978, foremen and dispatcher will be paid time <br />and one-half (12) of their straight time rates of pay for hours worked <br />in excess of eight (8) in any one work day and time and one-half (12) <br />of their straight time rate of pay for hours worked in excess of forty <br />(40) in any one work week. <br />SECTION 7: That all full time employees of the Public Works <br />Division shall receive the following holidays off, unless required to <br />work by the Public Works Commissioner in emergencies, and shall receive <br />regular rate of pay: New Year's Day; President's Day; Memorial Day; <br />Independence Day; Labor Day; Thanksgiving Day; Christmas Day; the <br />employee's birthday; and floating holiday. <br />SECTION 8: All full time employees of the Public Works Division <br />except the Secretary to the Public Works Commissioner, having completed <br />five (5) years of full-time continuous service as employees of said <br />department, or having been transferred from some other department by <br />administrative appointment, shall be paid an additional four percent <br />(4%) of their base annual salary, thereafter until completion of ten <br />(10) years full time continuous service, after which such employees <br />shall receive five percent (5%) of their base annual salary, thereafter <br />until completion of their fifteenth (15th) year of continuous full time <br />service, after which said employees shall receive six percent (6%) of <br />their base annual salary until completion of their twentieth (20th) <br />year of continuous full time service, and thereafter each year of full <br />time service they shall receive seven percent (7%) of their annual <br />base salary as longevity increments.
