....M...?. , <br />. ....Y .A..? _ , <br />, <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 78-_?4' <br />BY: <br />AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE ORGANIZATIONAL <br />CHART FOR THE ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT OF THE <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, AND SETTING FORTH THE <br />COMPENSATION TO BE PAID EMPLOYEES THEREOF, AND <br />REPEALING ORDINANCE N0. 77-103 ENACTED JULY 5, <br />1977, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY, AS AMENDED, <br />WHEREAS, Council wishes to establish an Organizational Chart <br />setting forth the number of employees within the Engineering Department <br />of the City of North Olmsted, and <br />WHEREAS, Council wishes to set forth the remuneration of all <br />employees in the Engineering Department. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION l: That the complement of the North Olmsted Engineering <br />Department of the City of North Olmsted shall be as follows: <br />City Engineer Secretary <br />Assistant Engineer Clerk <br />Survey Crew Chief Consultants <br />Survey Party Crew (3) Part-time inspectors (as needed) <br />Chief Inspector Part-time Help (as needed) <br />Inspectors (4) <br />Draftsmen <br />Engineering Aids (2) <br />SECTION 2: That retroactive to January l, 1978, the remunera- <br />tion of employees in the Engineering Department of the City of North <br />Olmsted shall be as follows: <br />City Engineer <br />Assistant Engineer <br />Survey Crew Chief <br />Survey Crew <br />Chief Inspector <br />Inspectors <br />Drafsmen <br />Engineering Aides <br />Part-time Inspector <br />(as needed) <br />Part-time Help (as needed) <br />$185,000.00 to $25,875.00 Annually <br />$16, 000. 00 to $1$ 7_00t00 Annually <br />$ 4.40 to , <br />$ 8.20 Per Hour <br />$ 3.00 to $ 6.00 Per Hour <br />$ 4.40 to $ 8.20 Per Hour <br />$ 3.40 to $ 7.50 Per Hour <br />$ 3.60 to $ 6.25 Per Hour <br />$ 3.00 to $ 5.30 Per Hour <br />$ 3.25 to $ 5.80 Per Hour <br />$ 2.20 to $ 3.50 Per Hour <br />which salaries shall be payable by the Director of Finance biweekly. <br />SECTION 3: The normal work week for hourly employees of the <br />Engineering Department will be forty (40) hours of work in five (S) <br />days of eight consecutive hours per day, during the period starting <br />12:01 A.M. Monday to Midnight Sunday. <br />In Determining whether an hourly employee has worked in excess <br />of forty (40) hours in any work week, hours on a holiday which the <br />employee did not work but for which he received pay shall be considered <br />to be hours worked. There shall be no pyramiding of overtime. <br />Effective July l, 1978, hourly employees will be paid time and <br />one-half (12) of their straight time rates of pay for hours worked in <br />excess of eight (8) in any one work day and time and one-half (12) of <br />their straight time rate of pay for hours worked in excess of forty <br />(40) in any one work week. A normal work day shall commence at <br />8:00 A.M. on one day and end at 8:00 A.M. the next day.
