,. . . _ <br />AdW'? <br />.. ? ? c <br />? . <br />. i ? <br />?Y . <br />'CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 78-la <br />PAGE 2. <br />? <br />SECTION 4: That excluding secretarial and clerical employees, <br />all full time employees of the Engineering Department having completed <br />five (5) full years of full-time continuous service, as employees of <br />said department, shall be paid an additional three percent (30) <br />of their base annual salary, thereafter until completion of ten (10) <br />years of full time continuous service, after which such employees <br />shall receive four percent (40) of their base annual salary, there- <br />after until completion of their fifteenth(15) year of continuous full <br />time service, after which said employees shall receive five percent <br />(50) of their base annual salary until completion of their twentieth <br />(20) year of continuous full time service, and thereafter each year <br />of full time service thereafter shall receive six percent (60) of <br />their base annual salary as longevity increments. <br />SECTION 5: That all full time employees of the Engineering <br />Department with the exception of secretaries and clerks, sha11 receive <br />the following holidays off, unless requested to work by the Mayor <br />in emergencies: New Year's Day; Memorial Day; Independence Day; <br />Labor Day; Thanksgiving Day; Christmas Day; President's Day, the <br />employee's birthday; and a floating holiday. <br />SECTION 6: That all full time employees of the Engineering <br />Department shall be entitled to an annual vacation in accordance with <br />the following schedule: <br />1 to 5 years inclusive of full time service - two weeks <br />6 to 11 years inclusive of full time service - three weeks <br />12 to 19 years inclusive of full time service - four weeks <br />20 years and over of full time service - five weeks <br />SECTION 7: That the Clerk of Council is hereby directed to <br />forward a copy o this Ordinance to the Director of Finance in order <br />that the Director of Finance can pay the compensation as hereinabove <br />set forth. <br />SECTION 8: That all other ordinances or resolutions, or parts <br />of ordinances o parts of resolutions, inconsistent herewith to the <br />provisions of this ordinance, and especially Ordinance 77-103 enacted <br />July 5, 1977, are hereby repealed with the effective date of this <br />Ordinance. <br />SECTION 9: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the preserUation of the <br />public health, safety and welfare, and for the further reason that it <br />is immediately necessary to review all pay scales and to bring them <br />into line due to inflation and cost of living increases and further <br />provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members <br />elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately <br />upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: <br />. <br />NORA T.
