<br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OPTED,
<br />STATE OF OHIO, three-fourths of all members elected thereto-concurring:.
<br />Sactio~ I?~fi.'tion A motel or-motor court is hereby defined
<br />to~be an ix~n or otel for automo zle tourists, and means every structure
<br />kept, used, maintained, advertised, or held out to the public to be a place
<br />",; where sleeping accounnodations are offered for pay to transient guests, in
<br />which rooms are used for the accommodation of such guests, such sleeping
<br />accommodations being conducted in the same building or in buildings in
<br />connection .therewith and every building or other structure kept, used,
<br />maintained, advertised or held .out to the public to be a place where sleep-
<br />ing accommodations are offered for pay to transient guests.

<br />within the-city of North Olmsted any motel or motor court unless duly
<br />licensed so to do as hereinafter provided, and unless the same shall be
<br />conducted ir3. strict co~apliance with said license and all applicable pro-
<br />visions of 1.aw or ordinance relating to the same.
<br />It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or eorporation to
<br />construct ~y inn or motel for automobile tourists unless a perm3.t for the
<br />constti~. Qf said buildings shall have been obtained as hereinafter
<br />provided.

<br />a motel or motor court shall make application in writing for such license:
<br />to the Mayor. Said application shall state the name and address of the
<br />applicant, the nature and extent of his interest in the business far xhich
<br />a license is desired and if the applicant is not the owner of such business,
<br />then the applicati~~t shall also state the name and address of the owner.
<br />Said application ~].~. further state the location. of the motel or motor
<br />court and. the ntu~ber of units therein, together with such other inforffiation
<br />as nay be required by the A7ay©r. Such application shall be accc~mpanied.by
<br />an inv+ssti ati©n f®e of F7~.ve Dollars 05.00} for each five units or less,
<br />plus ~'iv+~ (~5.OC1~ for .each additional fide units or fraction thereof,
<br />which 3.nv~ "" ~ t~R:Qn fee, - if a license is subsequently issued, shall be
<br />applied utp~- s~. license fee. In case the A~.yor disapproves the issuance::
<br />of a lice~e after investigation, upon application fc~r a re-investigation
<br />within s yy (6©) days thereafter, an additional investigation fee of One
<br />Dollar=' (1.00) for each Five wr~i.te or fraction thereof shall accompany such
<br />applicat3.an, ~.i.ch re-investigation fee, if a license is subsequently
<br />issued.: based upon such re-investigation, shall be applied upon such lice~s
<br />fee. the event a license is not issued, such investigation or re-invest-~
<br />igatio~ fee. shall be ret~in~d by the City as payment for such investigation
<br />or re-investigation, as the case may be

<br />which a license is desired, and when satisfied that such motel or motor
<br />court will comply with the soning ordinances of the City of North Olmsted.
<br />and the laws of the State of Ohl©, .and that the public health, welfare and
<br />morals will be adequately protected, he shall endorse upon sai® alpthereofon
<br />his approval thereof. However he shall not endorse his appr
<br />if the ke®per, owner or lessee has been convicted of kaepixag a place in
<br />violation of the lags relating to houses of assignation or places of public:
<br />nuisance. In the event the Mayor deems that such motel or motor court will
<br />be prejudicial to the public. health, welfare and morals, he shall endorse
<br />upon such application his disapproval thereof, together with the reasons
<br />therefor.
