BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of North Olmsted, Ohio, that in the interest of promotion of the public health, safety, convenience, comfort, prosperity and general welfare of the City of North OLasted, Ohio, the following articles and sections be and the same hereby are enacted into Iaw, ARTICLE I GEnIERAL SHORT TITLE.' This ordinance shall be known as the "toning Ordinance." ' ARTICLE II DEFI~NITI_ONS: For the purpose of this ordinance, certain terms and words are herein defined, edords used in the present tense include the future; ` y, the s"i.ngular number includes the plural and the plural, the singular; the words "used fort' include the Meaning "designed for"; the word "structure" includes the word +'building," (a) Accessory Use or building -~ A subordinate use or building cus- tomarily incident to, and located on the same lot or plot with the main use or building, (b) ALLEY -- Ar~y roadway or public way dedicated to public use and twenty (20) feet or less in width. (c) BUILDING - A structure in conformity with the building code requirements, designed, built, or occupied as a shelter or rooted enclosure for persons, animals, or property, (d) BUILDING LINE -- The line between which and the street line, or lot line, no building or other structure, or portion thereof, except as provided in this Ordinance, may be erected. The building Line is considered a verticle surface intersecting the ground on such line. (e) GERTIFICATE OF OCCUFAiVCY - A statement, signed by the Adminis- trative Officer, setting forth either that a building or structure complies with the Zoning Ordinance or that a building structure or parcel of land may lawfully be employed for specific uses, or both.
