z7. <br />under are not ccmmenaed within sixty (60) days after the date of permit, or' if <br />after the commencement of operations the work is discontinued for a period of <br />four (4) months, such permit shall be void, work may not again be commenced until <br />a new permit shall have been issued as for the original work and building mater- <br />ials and equipment on the ground shall be removed or stored according to the re- <br />quirements of tie Administrative Officer. <br />Section ~'. PENALTY FOR VTQLATION. <br />The owner3or owners of any building or premises or a part thereof, where <br />anything in violation of this ordinance shall be placed or shall exist, and any <br />architect, builder or contractor who assists or participates in the commission <br />of any such violation, and all persons or corporations who shall violate any of <br />the provisions of this ordinance or fail to comply therewith, or any requirements <br />thereof, or who shall build in violation of any detailed statement of plans sub- <br />mitted and approved thereunder, shall for each and every violation or non-compli- <br />ance be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof shall be fined not <br />more than forty-nine (~k9.~) dollars, and each day during which said violation <br />shall continue shall constitute a separate offense. <br />Section 4. PLATS. A11 applications for building permits shall be accaar <br />ponied by a plat or plot plan in duplicate, drawn to scale, showing the actual <br />dimensions of each lot to be built upon, the size and location of each building <br />to be created upon each lot and such other information as may be necessary to en- <br />able the Administrative Officer to determine that the proposed structure and use <br />of land wil]. conform to the provisions of this ordinance. A record of such appli- <br />cations and plats shall be kept in the office of the Administrative Officer. <br />Section 5. BUILDING PERZ~iIT - CERTIFICATE OF OCCUPANCY <br />(a) No excavation for foundation, nor the erection, construction or struc- <br />tural alteration of any structure or part of a structure, or occupancy of streets <br />or alleys with building materials or temporary structures for construction pur- <br />poses, shall be undertaken until a permit therefor shall have bean issued by the <br />Administrative Officer. No such permit shall be issued before application has been <br />made for a Certificate of Occupancy. <br />(b) No vacant land shall be occupied or used and no structure hereafter <br />erected, structurally altered or changed in use shall be used or changed in use <br />intil a Certificate of Occupancy shall have been issued by the Administrative <br />Jfficer~ <br />(c) A Certificate of Occupancy, either for the whole or a part of anew <br />building or for alteration of an existing building, shall be applied for, coinci- <br />dent with the application for a building permit and shall be issued within Len (10} <br />
