S. <br />demands its permanent location on the land; or anything attached to ease-- <br />thing having a permanent location on the land. <br />(PP) STRUCTURE ALTERATIONS - are at~y change in the supporting mem- <br />bers of a building or structure, such as bearing walls, columns, beams or <br />girders. <br />(qq) STREET- Any roadway or public way dedicated to public use, <br />except an alley. <br />(rr) TELEPHONE EXCHANGE BUILDING - A building with its equi}xnent, <br />used or to be used for the purpose of facilitating transmission and exchange <br />of telephone messages between subscribers, and other business of the tele- <br />phone company; but in a residence district, as established by this ordinance, <br />not to include business facilities, repair facilities storage of plant <br />materials or spare parts (other than those carried for the particular build- <br />ing), or storage of equipment, automobiles or trucks, or housing or quarters <br />for installation, repair or trouble crews. <br />(ss) TERRACE - A natural or artificial enbankment between a building <br />and its lot lines. <br />(tt) TERRACE - HEIGHT OF- The difference in elevation between the <br />curb level and the top of the terrace at the center of the building wall. <br />(uu) YARD - An open, unoccupied space, other than a court, on the <br />+ same lot with a building, unobstructed from the ground to the sky, except as <br />otherwise provided herein. <br />(w) YARD - FRONT - A yard across the full width of the lot, extend- <br />ing from the front line of the building to the front line of the lot. <br />(ww) YARD - REAR - A yard across the full width of the lot, extend- <br />ing from the rear line of the building to the rear line of the lot, <br />(~) YARD - SIDE - A yard betvreen thQ side line of the building and <br />the adjacent side l~..ne of the lot, extending from the front yard to the rear <br />yard, If there be no front yard the side yard shall be considered as extend- <br />ing to the front lire of t'~e lot and if there be no rear yard the side yard <br />shall be considerec'~ as e~~endi rg to tt~e ~ ear line of the lot. <br />(yy) HOUSE TRAIJ.~R -Any self-~propeiled a-~d ;~cn se)_a-propelled vehicle <br />so designed constructed, reonst.~^ucted, or added to by means of accessories in <br />such a marr_or as will permit the use and occupancy thereof for human habitation <br />whether rest.ng on wheels, jacks or other temporary or permanent foundation sad <br />used or so const.:~uctc~d as to per7cit its hoeing used as a conveyance upon the <br />public streets or hig'~waJ3. <br />(zz) HOTJSE 'i'F~A=?~R PARK- A j-ij s:.te, lot, f:~eld, or tract of land, upon <br />
