WHEREAS, Ordinance No. b3 - 234 contained a typegraphical error in .the third paragraph of Section 1, thereof wherein it was provided that (full time employees of the Police Department having completed five years offFiil time contia~juous service as employees of said department shall be paid an additional 1°,~ of their base annual salary thereafter until completion of the tenth year of continuous full time service, etc.}--- and the percentage figure of 1% should have read 2%;and WHEREAS, said ordinance in .the second paragraph of Section 2 thereof, with reference to the compensation of firemen contains the same error, and WHEREAS, it is the intention of this council to correct both sections to show the figure of 2~ so that it expresses the corr~ta..: intention of council in this regard.. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of North Olmsted, State of Ohio: Section is That section 1 of Ordinance No. 63-234 adopted November 6, 1963 now reading as follows: Ch f of of Police $7,$~#l,pq annual lit Lieutenant of Police .7,300.00 annually Sergeants 6,900.00 annually Patrolman for First Year 5,5E10.00 annually Patrolman for Second Year 5,9~O.OCI annually Patrolman after Second Year 6,500.610 annually School Guards 1.75 psr hour Auxiliary Police 1.75 per hour which salaries shall be payable by the Director of Finance semi-monthly. Any of the above, with the exception of school guards and auxiliary police, shall, while on duty as plain ctothes detectives, be paid additional compensation at the rate of X200.00 annually for all time spent as plain clothes detectives. Full time employees of the Police Department having completed five years of full time continuous service as employees of said department shall be paid an additional l% of their base annual salary thereafter until completion of the tenth year of continuous full time service, after which such employees shall receive 3°,~ of their base annual salary thereafter until the completion of the 15th year of continuous full time service, and thereafter 4°~ of their base annual salary until after the completion of the 20th year of continuous full time service and during each year of full time service thereafter they shall receive 5`~ of their base annual salary as longevity increments. In computing length of service for the purpose of making payments of the longevity increments hereinabove set forth, no credit shall be given for part-time services but such limitation is only for the purpose of computing longevity increments and the exclusion .for part-time service shall not deprive any employees of any other benefits which may be due them for part-time service as employees in either Safety Department.
