Ordinance No. 63l~~" f "~~ <br />Page 4 <br />In computing length of service for the purpose of making payments of <br />the longevity increm~ts hereinabove set forth, no credit shall be given for <br />part-time service but such limitation is only for the purpose of computing <br />longevity increments and the exclusion for part-time service shall not deprive <br />any employees of any other benefits which may be due them for part-time <br />service as employees of either Safety Department. <br />!n addition to the regular base salary plus increment and other wage <br />increases, all regular emplc~ryee~ of the Fire D~artment, including officers, <br />shall, on their original appointms~nt and during .the first calencla~r year <br />during their appointment, receive X175.00 clothing allowance ar-d shall, during <br />each calendar year thereafter, receive a clothing allowance of $15J3.E10 to be <br />determined and disbursed by and with the approval of the Fire Chief of the <br />Department. <br />For each full time member of the Fire Department, the City of North <br />Olmsted sha ll pay the sum of $7.25 per month toward the total cost of Blue <br />Cross Hospitalization premiums of said members of the Fire Department. <br />Section 3: That Ordinance No. 63-234 adopted November b, 1963, <br />is hereby_repealed, concurrently with the effective date of this ordinance. <br />Section 4: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and <br />welfare of the City by virtue of the immediate necessity of making the salary <br />adjustments in the salaries of meters of the Safety Dartmenfi effective as <br />of November 1, 1863, to satisfy the conditions of the negotiations of the <br />representatives of said Department and the Council; WHEREFORE, this <br />Ordinance shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage, <br />otherwise, at the earliest period allowed by law. <br />PASSED: ~/era`~`~~.~-tc~ /"~/j~'~!..~ <br />resident ~ Counc 1 ~~'~ /`~'•~~, <br />ATTEST: <br />i <br />Louise Hall, Clerk of`Ct>uncii <br />APPROVED: , <br />~,. <br />Pau J.
