<br />```,,. <br />r <br />~, .~ <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />{.3RDINANCB No. 63 ~-=~. =~- <br />~. <br />B r~1 ~ <br />AN ORDINANCE I3ETBR1+dINING ('AMP.BNSATION F£3R POLIO <br />FIRB~ffiN, ~tCHt3f~, (~iJARDS, AtT?~ILIARY P+CX.ICE AWD PART.. ~ <br />~""" TIMB FIR~SMBN AND RE1~$ALING ORDINAL No. 6~-138, AND <br />DECLARING AN B1~RGBNCY. <br />WHBR.BAS, negotiations with employees of the <br />Police and Fire Departments have been carried on ever since <br />February 11, 1963; and <br />WHEREAS, it was part of said negotiations that <br />any new rate established for the employees covered by this <br />Ordinance would be effective as of November i, 1963; and <br />WHBRBAS, Ordinance No. 6a-138 was an ordinance <br />amending Sectional and 2 of Ordinance No. 6159, eeacted Alarch <br />28, 1461, and it is the intention of this Council to repeal <br />said Ordinance No. 62-138 concurrently with the effective date <br />of this Ordinance. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council <br />of the City of North Olmsted, State of Ohio: <br />Section 1s That effective November 1, 1983, the base <br />salaries of the members of the Police Department are hereby <br />fixed sad determined to be as follows <br />Chief of Police $ ?840.44 annually <br />Lieutenan t of Police 7,340.40 annually <br />Sergeants 6,904.44 annually <br />Patrolman for First Year 5,540.04 annually <br />Patrolman for Second Year 5,4tl4.44 annually <br />Patrolman after Second Year 6,540.04 annually <br />School Guards 1.75 per hour <br />Auxiliary Police 1.75 per hour <br />which salaries shall be payable by the Director of Finance <br />semi-monthly. <br />Any of the above, with the exception of school <br />guards and auxiliary police, shall, while on duty as plain <br />clothes detectives, be paid additional compensation at the rate <br />of X200.44 annually for all time spent as plain clothes detectives. <br />Full time employees of the Police Department <br />having completed five years of full time continuous service as <br />employees of said department shall be paid an additional 1',~ of <br />their base annual salary thereafter until completion of the <br />tenth year of continuous full time service, after which. such <br />employees shall receive 3°~ of their base annual salary thereafter <br />until the completion of the 15th year of continuous full t3.me <br />service, and thereafter 49L of their base annual salary until <br />after the completion of the 24th year of continuous f u11 time <br />service and during each year of full time service ~ia#reafter <br />they shall receive 5~ of their base annual salary as longevity <br />increments. <br />
