Ordinance No. 63 ~3'-.:~~~ ~~ <br />Page 2 <br />In computing length of service for the pur- <br />pose of making payments of the longevity increments hereixtsbove <br />set forth, no credit shall be given for part-tint aervaes but <br />such limitation is only for the purpose of computing 1®n~evity <br />increments and the exclusion for part-time service shall not de- <br />prive any employees of any other benefits which ma.y be dne them <br />for part-time service as employees in either Safety ~'lepartment. <br />In addition to the regular base salary pleas <br />increment and other wage increases, all regular employees of the <br />Police department, including officers, shall, ©II therir Original <br />appointment and Burin the first calendar year during their <br />appointment, receive 175.p4 clothing allowance and shail,dt~ring <br />each calendar year thereafter, receive a clothing a1la~rance of <br />$I5©.UO to be determined and disbursed by and with the approval <br />of the Police Chief of the department. <br />For each full time member of the Police Depart- <br />ment (excluding auxiliary police and school gua~rds~, the City <br />of North Amsted shall pay the sum of $7, 25 per mouth t~rard the <br />total cost of Blue Cress Hospitalisation premiums of said mes~bers <br />of the Police force. <br />Section ~z That effective November 1, 1~~53, the base <br />salaries of members of the Fire Lepartment are herebry fixed and <br />determined to be as follows: <br />Fire Chief $ 7,800. DO annually <br />Assistant Fire Chief 7,40n.0o annually <br />Fire Lietatenant 6,804.00 aan~aally <br />Firemen f,er First Year S,SOQ.a~ annually <br />Fireman for second Year 5,90fl.04 annnually <br />Firemen after Second Year 6,54~,0~ annually <br />Part-time Firemen 1.75 per hour <br />which salaries shall be payable by the Director of Finance semi- <br />monthly. <br />Full time employees of the Fire Department <br />having completed five years of full time continuous service as <br />employees of said department shall be paid an additional 196 of <br />their base annual salary thereafter until completion of the <br />tenth gear of continuous full time service, after which stash <br />employees shall receive 396 of their base annual salary thereafter <br />until the completion of the 15th pear of continunua foil ties <br />service, and thereafter 4'~ of their base annual salary until <br />after the completion of the ~Oth year of contintxaus fu11 time <br />service and during each year of full time service thereafter <br />they shall receive 596 of their base annual salary as longevity <br />increments. <br />In computing length of service for the purpose <br />of making payments of the longevity increments hereinabove set <br />forth, no credit shall be given for part-time a~ervice but such <br />limitation is only for the purpose of computing lv~n~evity in- <br />crements and the exclusion for part-time service shall not deprive <br />any employees of any other benefits which may be due therm for <br />part-time service as employees of either gafety Department, <br />
