"_AND ENAG'T't'A'1G SECTION 163.04, CHAPTER. <br />163, TITLE FIVE, ENTITLED "INSURANCE ON EMPLOYEES OF THE <br />MUNICIPAL BUS LINES, " AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, Council has heretofore enacted the above <br />Ordinance 2194 establishing the vacation and holidays for the bus drivers' of <br />the municipal bus lines, and <br />WHEREAS, it was Council's intention to include in the <br />schedule of vacations, not only, bus drivers but all empioyees of the bus lines , <br />and <br />WHEREAS, Council now wishes to establish the vacation <br />for all employees of the bus lines having one year service or more, and <br />WHEREAS, Council now wishes to establish a new <br />vacation schedule for all employees of the bus lines having twenty years or <br />moieconsecutive service, and <br />WHEREAS, Council has determined that the municipal <br />bus line of the City of No rth Olmsted should purchase insurance for all employees <br />of the municipal bus lines . <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the <br />City of North Olmsted, State of Ohio: <br />Section 1: That Section 2 of Ordinance No . 2194 (Codified <br />Ordinance Section 163.03) presently reading as follows: <br />"Section Z: On and after September 1, 1955 , each regular or <br />extra bus driver shall receive the following vacation: He shall <br />be entitled to one week's vacation with pay in the year following <br />one year of continuous service; a week's vacation to consist of <br />six days, at the rate of eight hours per day. At the expiration of <br />two years and thereafter, he shall be allowed two weeks annual <br />vacation pith pay at the rate of eight hours per day, six days per <br />week. After the completion of five years of continuous service, <br />and for each year thereafter, up to and including eleven years of <br />continuous service, he shall be allowed one additional day's pay <br />at the above rate per annum for such service, so that the maximum <br />numbers of days for vacation with pay, regardless of service, shall <br />not exceed eighteen days at the hourly rate of eight hours per day. <br />All bus drivers shall receive their regular hourly rate for a period <br />not exceeding eight hours for the following holidays: New Year's <br />Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving <br />Day and Christmas Day, on which they shall not be reeired to <br />work. Bus drivers in addition to compensation for regular sched- <br />uled time shall be paid each day on which they work for one-half <br /> <br />
