A <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE NO. 64- ~~ Page 5 <br />A. Sanitary sewers and connections shall be vitrified clay with premium type <br />joints . The sanitary connection shall be ~ inches or larger in diameter. <br />The depth of the sanitary sewer shall be such that the sanitary connection <br />can discharge by gravity into said sanitary sewer. Where this is not <br />possible, basementless homes only will be permitted. Lots to be used <br />for basementless homes shall be noted on the plat. <br />B. Sim sewers shall be vitrified clay pipe with premium type joints or <br />pre-molded bituminous joints or reinforced concrete pipe with premium or <br />"slip seal" bituminous joints. Storm sewer connections shall be 6 inches <br />or larger vitrified clay pipe with premium joints. The storm sewer shall be <br />sized to provide for the storm drainage from the tributary area. <br />Culverts and bridges across dedicated streets shall be constructed by the <br />developer. <br />Major drainage ditches passing through the proposed subdivision shall be <br />improved as necessary. If a ditch is relocated, a plan shall be submitted <br />for approval. All ditches passing through a proposed subdivision for <br />which the City Engineer determines the culvert size to be 54" diameter <br />circular pipe or equivalent, or less, shall be completely culverted through <br />the subdivision. For pipe sizes between 54" and 72" inclusive, the <br />developer shall negotiate with the City for installation of same. Ditches <br />requiring in excess of 72" culvert may remain open, but Council, upon the <br />advice of the City Engineer, is hereby empowered to require said ditches to <br />be fenced with a fence approved by tie City Engineer, and providing that a <br />minimum right-of-way of fifty (50) feet is provided for service to said ditch. <br />Ditch banks shall be on a minirr~rntwo (2) horizontol to one (1) vertical slope <br />and seeded. No relocated ditch bank shall be closer than 10 feet to adjoining <br />property. <br />C. Water mains and appurteneaces shall be constructed in accordance with the <br />specifications of the City of Cleveland Water Department. <br />D. Paving. <br />1. Residential: 7" reinforced concrete pavement with integral curbs, <br />minimum width 25.5 feet from back of curb to back of curb. <br />2. Areas other than residential: 8" reinforced concrete pavement with <br />integral curbs, minimum width 32 feet from back of curbe to back of curb. <br />E. Sidewalks: Concrete walks shall be 5 feet wide, 4 inches thick except at <br />driveways where the thickness shall be 6 inches. Wire mesh shall be <br />provided and used throughout the entire length of the sidewalk. <br />F. Driveway aprons shall have a minimum thickness of 6 inches and shall be <br />flared toward the street a minimum of 3 feet wider on each side of the drive- <br />way. Wire mesh shall be provided and used. <br />,. <br />~~ G. Trees shall be planted according to the MasterTree Plan specified by <br />The Director of Public Service and Safety on file at North Olmsted City Hall, <br />and. <br />H. The City Engineer has the authority to waive or increase the above improve- <br />ment requirements when authorized by the Council of North Olmsted. <br />All construction work required of the developer shall be done under the super- <br />vision of the City Engineer and in the presence of a City Inspector. <br />
