` ~ ~ ~ CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 65- ~'~ <br />BY E~~ J~ <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1 AND 2 OF ORDINANCE <br />NO. 65-160 ENACTED JULY 13, 1965, WHICH AMENDED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 65-67 ENACTED MAY 1, 1965, W'riICH <br />AMENDED ORDINANCE NO. 64-207 ENACTED SEPTEMBER 15, <br />1964, WHICH AMENDED ORDINANCE NO. 63-248 ENACTED <br />NOVEMBER i9, 1963, BEING AN ORDINANCE DETERMING <br />• COMPENSATION FOR POLICEMEN, FIREMEN, SCHOOL GUARDS, <br />AUXILIARY POLICE AND PART-TYNE FIREMEN AND FULL-TIME <br />FIREMEN AND POLICEMEN WORKING FOR THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED ON THEIR OFF DUTY HOURS AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY <br />W~IEREAS, the Finance Committee and the Safety Committee of Council <br />has determined that off duty firemen and policemen can be utilized by the Gity <br />in various capacities and has so advised Council, and; <br />WHEREAS, Council. now wishes to establish the renumeration to be <br />paid to policemen and fire :yen working for the City during their off duty hours in <br />order to utilize the skills ~~f the policemen and firemen of the City of North <br />Olmsted. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of <br />North Olmsted, State of. Ohio: <br />Section is That Section 1 of Ordinance No, 65-160 reading as follows: <br />"Section l: That effective May 1, 1965 , the base salaries of <br />the members of the Police Department are hereby fixed and <br />determined to be as follows: <br />Chief of Police <br />Lieutenant of Police <br />Sergeants <br />Patrolmen far First Year <br />Patrolmen for Second Year <br />Patrolmen after Second Year <br />School Guards <br />Auxiliary Police <br />$7, 800.00 annually <br />7, 300.00 annually <br />6, 900.00 annually <br />5, 500.00 annually <br />5, 900.00 annually <br />6, 500.00 annually <br />I . 75 per hour <br />1.75 per hoar <br />which salaries shall be payable by the Director of Finance semi- <br />monthly . <br />Any of the above, with the exception of school guards and <br />• auxiliary police, shall, while on duty as plain clothes detectives,, <br />be paid additional compensation at the rate of $200.00 annually <br />for all time spent as plain clothes detectives . <br />Full time employees of the Folice Department having completed <br />five years of full time continuous service as employees of said <br />department shall be paid an additional 3%. of their base annual <br />salary thereafter un±il completion of the tenth year of continuous <br />full time service, after which such employees shall receive 4% <br />of their base annual salary thereafter until the con-~pletion csf the <br />15th year of continuous f~.~11 time service, and thereafter 5`%:. ~Y <br />their base annual salary until after the compietior: of the 2~~th <br />year of .ryonrinuc?us full time service and Burin., ~~c" ~r~lar c f ful?. <br />time service triereafterthey shall receive F~r~~ ~~ ~r,. i. ~,asF= s~:iar<,>- <br />
