PAGE 2 <br />In computing length of service for the purpose of making payments <br />of the longevity increments hereinabove set forth, no credit shall <br />be given for part-time services but such limitation is only for the <br />purpose of computing longevity increments and the exclusion for <br />part-time service shall not deprive any employees of any other <br />benefits which may be due them for part-time service as employees <br />in either Safety Department . <br />In addition to the regular base salary plus increment and other wage <br />increases, all regular employees of the Police Department, including <br />. officers , shall, on their original appointment and during the first <br />calendar year during their appointment, receive $175.00 clothing <br />allowance and shall, during each calendar year thereafter, receiving <br />a clothing allowance of $150.00•to be determined and disbursed by <br />and with the approval of the Police Chief of the Department. <br />For each full time member of the Police Department (excluding <br />auxiliary police and school guards) , the City of North Olmsted shall <br />pay an amount equal to a single person's rate per month towards the <br />cost of Blue Cross Hospitalization and Medical Mutual premiums of <br />said members of the Police Force, as established by Contract 52YS <br />effective the 22nd day of May, 1965. " <br />be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />Section 1: That effective December 1, 1965 , the base salaries of <br />the members of the Police Department are hereby fixed and determined to be as <br />follows: <br />Chief of Police <br />Lieutenant of Police <br />Sergeants <br />Patrolmen for First Year <br />Patrolmen for Second Year <br />Patrolmen after Second Year <br />School Guards <br />Auxiliary Police <br />Full time Police Officers working for <br />the City of North Olmsted during off <br />duty hours <br />$8, 700.00 annually <br />$, 000.00 annually <br />7, 500.00 annually <br />5 , 600.00 annually <br />6,100.00 annually <br />6, 900.00 annually <br />1.75 per hour <br />1,75 per hour <br />3.00 per hour <br />which salaries Ghall be payable by the Director of Finance semi-monthly. <br />Any of the above, with the exception of school guards ~~+nd auxiliary <br />police, shall, while on duty as plain clothes detectives, be paid additional <br />compensation at the rate of $200.00 annually for all time spent as plain clothes <br />detectives . <br />• Full time employees of the Police Department having completed five <br />years of full time continuous service as employees of said department shall be <br />paid an additional 396 of their base annual salary, thereafter until completion of <br />the tenth year of continuous fill time service, after which such employees sI:.aI2 <br />receive 496 of their base annual salary thereafter until the completion of the <br />15th year of continuous full time se`~ric~e, and thereafter 5% of their base annual <br />salary until after the completion of ~ 20th year of continuous full time service , <br />and during each year of full time service thereafter they shall receive 696 of their <br />base salary as longevity increments <br />
