PAGE 2 In computing length of service for the purpose of making payments of the longevity increments hereinabove set forth, no credit shall be given for part-time services but such limitation is only for the purpose of computing longevity increments and the exclusion for part-time service shall not deprive any employees of any other benefits which may be due them for part-time service as employees in either Safety Department . In addition to the regular base salary plus increment and other wage increases, all regular employees of the Police Department, including . officers , shall, on their original appointment and during the first calendar year during their appointment, receive $175.00 clothing allowance and shall, during each calendar year thereafter, receiving a clothing allowance of $150.00•to be determined and disbursed by and with the approval of the Police Chief of the Department. For each full time member of the Police Department (excluding auxiliary police and school guards) , the City of North Olmsted shall pay an amount equal to a single person's rate per month towards the cost of Blue Cross Hospitalization and Medical Mutual premiums of said members of the Police Force, as established by Contract 52YS effective the 22nd day of May, 1965. " be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: Section 1: That effective December 1, 1965 , the base salaries of the members of the Police Department are hereby fixed and determined to be as follows: Chief of Police Lieutenant of Police Sergeants Patrolmen for First Year Patrolmen for Second Year Patrolmen after Second Year School Guards Auxiliary Police Full time Police Officers working for the City of North Olmsted during off duty hours $8, 700.00 annually $, 000.00 annually 7, 500.00 annually 5 , 600.00 annually 6,100.00 annually 6, 900.00 annually 1.75 per hour 1,75 per hour 3.00 per hour which salaries Ghall be payable by the Director of Finance semi-monthly. Any of the above, with the exception of school guards ~~+nd auxiliary police, shall, while on duty as plain clothes detectives, be paid additional compensation at the rate of $200.00 annually for all time spent as plain clothes detectives . • Full time employees of the Police Department having completed five years of full time continuous service as employees of said department shall be paid an additional 396 of their base annual salary, thereafter until completion of the tenth year of continuous fill time service, after which such employees sI:.aI2 receive 496 of their base annual salary thereafter until the completion of the 15th year of continuous full time se`~ric~e, and thereafter 5% of their base annual salary until after the completion of ~ 20th year of continuous full time service , and during each year of full time service thereafter they shall receive 696 of their base salary as longevity increments
