• . <br />- 7 - <br />Section 2. That the foregoing proposed ame~tdmente shall~,becoe~e a <br />part of the Charter of the City of North Olmsted upon their approval by a <br />majority of the electors voting thereon; provided, that the qualif ications <br />for the office of Director of Law as set forth in the proposed amendment of <br />Section 2 of Article V and the qualifications for the office of Director of <br />Finance as set forth in the proposed amendment of Section 3 of Article V <br />shall not be applicable to the two-year terms of such offices commencing <br />January 1, 1966, <br />Section 3. That the Clerk of this Council is directed to certify <br />a copy of this ordinance to the Board of Elections of Cuyahoga County, and <br />to cause copies of said amendments to be mailed to the electors in accordance <br />with Article XVIII, Section 9 of the Ohio Constitution. <br />Section 4. That this ordinance shall be and the same hereby is <br />declared to be an emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation <br />of the public peace, health and safety of this City for the reason that is <br />is necessary that provision be made for said election at the earliest <br />possible moment so that the electors of this City will have the opportunity <br />to vote on said proposed Charter amendments and shall, therefore, go into <br />effect immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />pASS~: 19b5 <br />rest ent o ounci <br />• ATTBST <br />Clerk of Council <br />Approved: 1965 <br />LJ <br />• <br />Mayor <br /> <br />
