<br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 65- /fra <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Council now wishes to correct a previous typographical <br />error and also wishes to make all benefits retroactive to May 1, 1965. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the <br />City of North Olmsted, State of Ohio: <br />Section 1: That Section 1 of Ordinance No. 65-b7 reading a$ follows: <br />"Section 1" That effective May 1, 1965, the base salaries of <br />the members of the Police Department are hereby fixed and determined <br />to be as follows: <br />• <br />Chief of Police <br />Lieutenant of Folice <br />Sergeants <br />Patrolmen for First Year <br />Patrolmen for Second Year <br />Patrolmen after Second Year <br />School Guards <br />Auxiliary Police <br />? , 500.00 annually <br />7, 300.00 annually <br />6, 900.00 annually <br />5, 500.00 annually <br />5, 900.00 annually <br />6, 500.00 annually <br />1. 7 5 per hour <br />1.75 per hour <br />which salaries shall be payable by the Director of Finance semi-monthly. <br />' Any of the above, with the exception of school guards and <br />auxiliary police, shall, while on duty as plain clothes detective, be <br />paid additional compensation at the rate of $200.00 annually for all tirn~ <br />spent as plain clothes detectives. <br />r <br />BY <br />AN ORDINANCE CORRECTING AND AMENDING <br />SECTION 1 & 2 OF ORDINANCE NO, 65-67 ENACTED MAY <br />1, 1965, WHICH AMENDED ORDINANCE NO. 64-207 ENACTED <br />SEPTEMBER 15, 1964, BEING AN ORDINANCE DETERMINING <br />THE AMOUNT THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED SHOULD PAY <br />TOWARDS THE BLUE CROSS HOSPITALIZATION PREMIUMS <br />OF POLICEMEN AND FIREMEN, AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, Council was advised by the Finance Committee and <br />Safety Committee that Blue Cross rates have increased, and <br />WHEREAS, Council has in order to maintain an efficient Police <br />and Fire Department determined that an increase as recommended by the <br />Finance Committee and Safety Committee should be granted in the form of increased <br />hospitalization benefits, and <br />WHEREAS, it was Council's intention that the increased hospital- <br />ization .benefits should also include medicat treatment coverage, and <br />WHEREAS, when Ordinance No. 65-b? was passed by Council <br />it did not set forth that medical mutual was to be included in the increased benefits <br />to police and firemen, and <br />
