<br />CITY OF NORTH OhM3TRD <br />ORTytNANCE NO. 65-~ Page 2 <br />(e) Traf#i~ control device authorizing turn with red or "stogy" <br />~,igru~l: <br />(11 No pedestrian facing such signal shall enter the <br />roadway; <br />(2) All other traffic facing such signal may cautiously <br />enter the intersection only to make the movement indicated <br />by the traffic control device but shall yield the right of way <br />to pedestrians lawfully within a crosswalk and to other <br />traffic lawfully using the intersection. <br />(fl Green arrow alone• <br />All traffic facing such signal may enter the intersection <br />only to make the movement indicated by such arrow but <br />shall yield the right of way to pedestrians lawfully <br />within a crosswalk and to other traffic lawfully using <br />the intersection. <br />(g) Changing signals . <br />Any traffic lawfully upon the roadway within an inter- <br />section at the time a traffic control signal changes may <br />continue cautiously through the intersection with due <br />regard for the safety and rights of all persons using the <br />roadway. Passed ?-?-42.)" <br />be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />313.03 TRAFFIC CONTROL SIGNAL TERMS AND LIGHTS. <br />Whenever traffic is controlled by traffic control signals exhibiting <br />different illuminated colored lights, or controlled with illuminated arrows, the <br />following colors only shall be used and the terms and lights shall indicate and <br />apply to operators of vehicles and pedestrians as follows: <br />(a) C'~Ecr green alone or "g0" signal: <br />(1) Pedestrians facing the signal may proceed across the <br />roadway within any marked or unmarked crosswalk, unless directed otherwise by <br />a pedestrian signal or a traffic control device. <br />(2) All other traffic facing the signal except as provided <br />under Section 331.09 may proceed straight through or turn right or left, unless a <br />sign at such place prohibits such turn . But such traffic shall yield the right of way <br />to vehicles lawfully within the intersection and to pedestrians lawfully within a <br />crosswalk at the time such signal is exhibited. <br />(b) Circular yellow alone or "caution" when shown following the <br />green or "QO" sistnal: <br />(1) No pedestrian facing such signal shall enter the roadway. <br />(2) All other traffic facing the signal is warned that the red <br />or "stop" signal will be exhibited immediately thereafter, and that pedestrians <br />proceeding in accordance with the traffic control signals shall have the right of way, <br />(c) Csircular red alone or "stop" signal: <br />(1) No pedestrian facing such signal shall enter the roadway. <br />(2) All other traffic facing the signal shall stop before <br />entering the intersection and shall remain standing until authorized 'to proceed by <br />a traffic control device . <br />(d} Green arrow signal or a traffic control device authorising turn_ <br />with red or "stop" signal: <br />(1) No pedestrian facing such signal or device shall enter <br />the roadway. <br />(2) All other traffic facing such signal or device may cautious <br />enter the intersection only to make the movement indicated by the green arrow or <br />device, and shall yield the right of way to pedestrians lawfully within a crosswalk <br />and to other traffic lawfully using the intersection. <br />• (e) Green arrow signal alone: <br />(1) Pedestrians facing a vertical green arrow signal may <br />proceed across the roadway within any marked or unmarked crosswa:k unless directs <br />otherwise by a pedestrian signal or a traffic control device . <br />
